A question:

How loud does your PS3 slim fan gets, I have the CECH 3000 series...and I can hear it when my tv's volume is turned extremly low...i sit about 6 feet away from my console...and i can hear the fans humm. ...is that normal?

The monitor that you are using...is it HDCP compliant?....check that, if yes, then it should give you display...if not, then u need to buy a new monitor man!

It is HDCP ready bcoz when i use hdmi to dvi converter and use dvi port it works. Problem is i don't have any other cable i.e component and thru dvi it doesn't give sound. Xbox 360 works well.

Ok I hv a simple Bluetooth handsfree which works fine when I m talking or hearing on my phone ,But when I paired it with my PS3 and start playing Cod:BO2 I can only hear my friends through the BT but they cant hear me,why?

Go to Accessory Settings from the XMB and then go to Manage Bluetooth Devices. From there you can switch your mic to the bluetooth device, then your friends will be able to hear you.

I have been playing digitally downloaded titles lately (i.e. not using the disc player) its been about 3 weeks or so I haven't played any game off the disc. So my concern here is, does the ps3 lens gets weak if I don't use it much often? PS2 had this problem, had to replace the lens everytime I resumed playing after a break of 2-3months

No, it doesn't. At least I don't think so.

I think the PS2 had this problem because dust used to collect on it over time, not the case with the PS3.

I don't think so, haven't heard anything like that about the PS3.

My beloved PS3 Slim (320GB PAL CECH-2504B) has been serving me since 1st Feb 2011.
But a few months ago I put my PS3 on and it gives no display and doesn't respond to any buttons but the controller is connected. Then I have to remove the power cable and then put it on again. This still happens and the last time it happened was last night.

Also while playing any COD (mostly MW2 and MW3, but sometimes Black Ops 1) the game suddenly freezes and nothing responds. Controller stays connected but buttons (on The PS3 and the controller) are dead.

Can some one please tell me where to get a hackable ps3 slim from? Actually I prefer buying brand new but some people say that the brend new ones are not hackable:/ is it true? Or can i get a dabba pack hackable console from somewhere? Because used hackable PS3 slims are almost the same cost of brand new :/ and there are always problems with used stuff. Please someone reply.

How much time does it really takes to freeze,if its 20 or 30 min after gameplay than could be lens issue or overheating

After about an hour of gameplay the PS3 just freezes with a normal 'hummm' coming from it. Power button does not respond. Remote is dead as well. I have to pull the plug out for it to turn off.

running games is a hassle- patching and fixes and so much other garabge to deal with everytime

i wud like to move back to OFW 4.40.

What the qucikest and esiest method? shud i just put the update in my ps3 via usb and upgrade directly
