I find that legs-hanging-from-the-chopper-door-while-taking-in-the-breathtaking-view a very pleasing experiance. Like im actually there. How would it look like in 3d?!

I played the "Rescue VIP" mission from Ground Zeros, multiple times. Aerial combat or whatever it is called is very satisfying.

Wow Chhowni
Just watched the 20-minute footage. Looked alright. Nothing spectacular. Fairly generic if I may dare to say so.

I hope the PC modding community comes up with an 'abaya' for the lady :kojima:

[h=2]Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain will be released in 2015, Kojima says[/h]

Hideo Kojima said Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain will be released sometime in 2015 during a presentation at this year's Tokyo Game Show.

Kojima showed off new gameplay during a special stage presentation for The Phantom Pain, one that largely focused on the sniper known as Quiet. In addition to a trailer that showed off Quiet's interaction with Big Boss and his Diamond Dogs — as well as her superhuman abilities to turn invisible and move undetected like a phantom — Kojima showed off new gameplay that focused on cooperative stealth.

Quiet acted as Big Boss' partner in the gameplay demo, parachuting in to help him sneak undetected through a jungle monitored by guards. Quiet, armed with her sniper rifle, invisibly creeped through the forest and trained her laser sight on enemy units while Big Boss sneaked around, taking out soldiers one-by-one. In one instance of her AI-assisted cooperation, she shot the metal helmet off an enemy soldier just before Big Boss fired a tranquilizer dart into his head.

It appears Quiet will also be able to aid Big Boss in combat, providing covering fire and taking out enemy soldiers from afar. For a replay of Kojima Productions' Tokyo Game Show presentation for Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain,

Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain is bound for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Windows PC, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.

Peace Walker was the best mgs, only limited by the hardware at the time. Phantom Pain will be awesome.

Looks like Peace Walker reimagined as a next-gen game.

which i don't mind.
Kinda agree at this point here, but hopefully we'll be fighting some memorable boss fights something I haven't had the pleausre of doing so after Snake Eater. Peace Walker and MGS4 had their fair share of boss fights but only a few were memorable.

Just to drive my point across, this is Peace Walker on PSP (sure I could have used one of the PS3 HD remaster shots :p .. but this is better). i took this screen off of my own PSP back in the day.

and this is MGSV. Almost like a true remake of the above.

Chandoo I wouldn't go ahead and start labelling it as a remake just because it shares a similar terrian. Peace Walkers land scape was mostly tropic ... With TPP its going to be spanned across a variety of terrain.

DD has an eye patch of his own lol. It could be an interesting addition to the gameplay.

- Both the horse and the dog (DD) can die. This goes for AI buddies in general, so even Quiet can meet this fate.

-Once your buddies are dead, they’re dead for good. This won’t affect the main plot though.

- As said before, you can beat the game without meeting Quiet at all, and the same goes for the dog. But meeting them opens up whole sub-plots.
- During the missions you can bring more than one buddy. There are four seats on the chopper aside the one for Snake.
- Ocelot was a buddy at some point, but at the moment he isn’t. He may or may not become a buddy.
- Kojima: “What Snake and his men go through in TPP is painful. Very painful.”
- “The concept behind Quiet was nudity. A naked sniper.” Kojima also reiterated the reason behind the way she looks will surprise us. But no, she isn’t Chico, as Kojima confirmed.
- Characters in the game question Quiet’s appearance, but there’s a reason for it.

Sounds kinda nice to bring in an additional companion along the mission, its unclear if we'd have the option to play co-op. Would be cool infiltrating together, co-op is fun but I would prefer a solo experience.
BTW TGS is over already? Didn't see much hype around this time esp. at PG...was it that bland lol...

BTW, i started Ghost of Tsushima, and it got me hooked within the first couple of minutes. I already know It's gonna be a memorable experience. This is how you make a proper Samurai game. Not that SJW game Ubisoft is making.

That's still higher than it's total play length. A 5 hour campaign for a $50 game is downright scammy.

Consoles were my main platform ever since Atari 2500. But now I think it's not worth it as PC especially with DLSS deliver far smoother performance. AW2 on console didn't even had ray tracing and ran below 30fps. Similar issues plagues DD2 on consoled.
The cross gen era really made people think 60fps would be a new standard lol

Welp, done with Hellblade 2. Thoroughly disappointed. Such a nothing burger after the unique experience of the first game.

I have a PS5 but I am not satisfied with the experience. I am currently saving for a 4080 64 GB rig soon. Bit will wait for Pro if performance improves. This gen has been so bad I don't plan on buying consoles anymore for AAA gaming.

It is indeed the worst generation by far.

Both PS and Xbox have been a flop this gen as they can barely maintain 30 fps in a lot of AAA games th.

  • L LegacyGamerGuy:
As per WCCF Tech review, Xbox Series X doesn't even maintain a consistent FPS and sometimes drops into the mid-20fps range. That's unacceptable, tbh.

Score 1 for game pass. I wouldn't pay full price for this at retail either.

Just downloaded my first legit digital PC game on GoG at a discount of $8: Two Point Hospital. The same team behind Theme Hospital Two Point Studios now part of Sega. And I am having more fun than most recent AAA games except of course BG3.

Still, I don't like either Sony or Microsoft as they are focusing more on corporate greed than delighting customers. PC gaming is best of gaming and worth every penny.

PC Gamer score of 58/100 for Hellblade 2??? Is it really worse than Gollum that was 64/100? Microsoft games can't even come close to high scores of Sony exclusives apparently.

About the Microsoft (and Sony) debate, I feel both have become too greedy and losing their minds over corporate greed. Personally, I will never buy any console next gen and switch to PC gaming where democracy reins.
