MGS V: The Phantom Pain is apparently 200 times bigger than Ground Zeroes. Kojima proves it with a map comparison.
Today's Kojima Station livestream revealed some new gameplay footage of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain which appeared to be demonstrated live on the PlayStation 4. The footage offered only a short glimpse but you can see Snake with his trusty cardboard box sneaking through a base in the desert. You can check out the video below at around 57 minutes in.
Elsewhere in the video, series creator Hideo Kojima reveals just how large the world is in The Phantom Pain with a graphic comparison. Kojima has said in the past that the map for The Phantom Pain will be 200 times larger than Ground Zeroes, and it sure looks that way judging from the image below.
According to Kotaku's translation of the presentation, the game's weather and time system will act on its own, which means people playing the game will have to take those factors into consideration to decide which missions to tackle and when.
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is expected for a another reveal at E3 next week.
