Dozens of people on PG have been using LIVE for around 3 years now including me.

LIVE has been safe for many months now. But if your console is flagged from back in Nov '09 if you go online you will be banned instantly.

Also make sure you have the latest firmware and abgx checked games. But as you know MS can still ban you.

yo,i have been playing MW2 on live for more then a week now on my MODDED console and nothings happened but what i wanna know is,if you stop playing on live, does ur subscription also stops or they say one month right for a new console per account,so,if i sign in and play for a day or two and then stop,will the subscription be available after a month? or will it only last for amonth since the start of the account? do u guys get? maybe not...............

I'm setting up my xbox live account and it asks for the update in the very first step but the prob is that during the update it says my network connection is no more... i've checked my network cable its all good and my connection is all good too but i don't know y it disconnects in between the update ... and after 2 disconnects when it downloaded the update ... and started installing the update after a restart the same thing started happening in b/w the installation it said no network connectivity ... i can't figure out what is it?
can it be the port ? i haven't still forwarded the port in my router...

Hi Brothers

I am new to pakgamers and looking for guide. I mean facts and good guide. Not rumors.

I got a xbox about a month ago. It is elite with Dec 2010 production date. First it didn't played wave 4 games, then i asked the shopkeeper to update it to the latest so i can play new games without boot CD. He sent it back to lahore for update and it worked. i have finished lot of games offline Halo3, MW1 and MW2, batmann, BFBD2, GTA4 etc etc. i finished all these games but never had any urge to play again or online any of these games. But now i just ended Red dead Redemption and i am addicted to it. This game too fucking awesome to be ignored. This game is best.

So i was looking to play this game online but i dont know anything about live in Pakistan. When i try to connect to live it ask for update. I dont know which firmware i have, what are stealth etc games. How to write them. So i need an expert advise.

I asked the shopkeeper who sold me xbox 360. He warned me not to play online as it may damage my console bias etc, and it may not even work offline. While, one of expert on modding told me just play online and when yo have time give me your xbox. He said h will mod it with guarentee not to be banned for atleast three months for charge of rs. 1500-2000.

What should i do? WHich shopkepr is right?

Which internet service in pk is best for xbox live? and plz dont say ptcl because I had it before and it sucked! At da moment i m using wateen and it's good most of the time but sometimes it becomes really laggy .

Best site to purchase xbox live points through credit card? Need them for a UK account, have googled a bit but somehow havent found a site that looks very authentic. Seem expensive on the PG Store.

Update: gamepointsnow.com seems cheap and authentic. Anyone had experience with them?
