Hey guys
Im totally new to xbox 360 havin just bought one...so here r my few queries...

1) my pc is far too away from my xbox, so my only option to connect to net is wirelessly...need help on that

2) if somehow i do connect to net, will i be automatically be signed in to xbox live n start using da silver membership?

3) i hv modified console n only play pirated games, so wat options do i hv wid da silver mmbrshp? Can i download movies n stuff n chat without getting banned?

4) (a little off-topic)...can i transfer videos, music, etc frm my
flash drive or an ordinary external hard drive to xbox 20gb
hard drive?

i. You need to buy a Xbox 360 Wireless Connectivity dongle. Its expensive but its the only solution.
ii. You can specify if you want your profile to auto sign in or do it manually.
iii. You cannot download movies n stuff unless you have Netflix subscription + Gold membership. You need Gold membership to chat. Also, if your console is not flagged for banning, you must upgrade the firmware to iXtreme LT before going online.
iv. No you can't transfer music, videos via USB flash drive. You can however save pictures as backgrounds from USB Flash Drive to HDD. Also, the only way to save music to HDD is by ripping the music directly from an audio CD. Also, you can play videos in the USB flash drive while its inserted in the Xbox 360. You can't transfer the videos however.

You can download "Optional Media Update" to play AVI format videos in USB flash drive
You can download trailers & demos. You wont be able to download a NEW demo...until after 7 days because of Silver membership.

K guys i just got my drive firmware LT....and i was sondering if its safe to play online mw2..........its splitvid successsful with SSV1 NOT SSV2.....so whaddya say guys?

Problems connecting to Xbox Live

Hi Guys,

I am having some trouble connecting to xbox live, previously at my old address i was connected to live maxcom. Using a tp link router. Now i moved house and cant get maxcom here so had to get ptcl bb. I am having an xbox wireless adaptor but for some reason it wont detect my router, i am using the same router but its connected to the zte modem of ptcl the older dark blue type box. It just wont detect my router at all, it is detecting other routers in area, but won't detect mine. I tried connecting it directly via ethernet and it wont connect to the net via that either. Can anyone help me on this please?

My routher settings are detect automatic ip and dns.

^^check if ur router detects ur xbox live adapter.also is ur ptcl modem auto login type??there could be a num of reasons why ur getting that prob,ur router might be in stealth mode or simply faulty or ur xbox adapter might be not working.also make sure ur network settings in xbox r set to auto.try connecting ur ptcl modem through ethernet cable to ur xbox.

i am unable to find a server , it takes to long to find a server , looking for 2 - 3 players , in modern warfare 2 - the ptcl 2 mb connection is fine , dont understand what the issue is , mind it that its a friends console so i am helping him out .
mw2 keeps on searching for servers etc . can any one help , nat is open . i am using ptcl zydxl router the white one with 4 switch model.

^^matchmaking takes time...in some games it can take upto 10min.also check if u haven't messed any online options in the game.there could also be sever down issue.try again after a few dayz.
