How to connect 360 to the internet.

Hello everyone,
I need to connect my 360 to the net but i simply don't know how to do it since i use a 512kb cable net (Service name:Connect.net) in order to connect to the net i have to enter a user name and password (in a window) much like we used to do in our dial up days.Can someone help me how to connect?

It is called VPN, i got the same LAN ie connect... and i've tried every method available still Cant play LIVE =( !!

Hey kind of off topic here..Can i put music file on my USB from my PC in my Xbox 360?
And do I have to have a hard drive inorder to put some music in my Xbox 360 or can it be done with a standard memory card (which come with Xbox 360 Arcade)..
Ans these plzz as I don't have an Xbox yet but I'm getting one...

And can Silver members download games?
Is the speed slow for Silver members?

1. No u cant use usb to copy music to ur xbox HDD.u can play music frm external storage devices though.in order to copy music to ur xbox HDD ul hve to first burn them to a cd in audio cd format and then u can copy one song or complete album to ur xbox HDD.
2. Yes u can only copy music if u hve a HDD.
3. yes silver memberz can download demo,purchase games,dlc and stuff.howevr some demo r exclusive to gold memberz when they r first released but after some time they become available to evryone.
4. No speed iz only dependent on ur connection.

^^i think ur not up-to-date about the latest Xbox Live newz...playing pirated games on a modified console on Live==INSTANT CONSOLE BAN+HDD install feature stripped away too.whereas playing original games on non-modified console iz OK.ur choice nw

^ pirated games CAN be played on Xbox LIVE. What Journey's end is trying to say that due the recent banning of modified consoles, its best that you don't go on Xbox LIVE and play with a pirated copy of any game. hey guys i m planning to buy a xbox but the red ring and live account banning stories are making me think again. actually what i wanna ask is i m not into online game playing all i ll be doing is downloading trailers, small free games from xbox server or may be downloading video content and going for some updates on the server. so can that result in a ban.

Im totally new to xbox 360 havin just bought one...so here r my few queries...

1) my pc is far too away from my xbox, so my only option to connect to net is wirelessly...need help on that

2) if somehow i do connect to net, will i be automatically be signed in to xbox live n start using da silver membership?

3) i hv modified console n only play pirated games, so wat options do i hv wid da silver mmbrshp? Can i download movies n stuff n chat without getting banned?

4) (a little off-topic)...can i transfer videos, music, etc frm my
flash drive or an ordinary external hard drive to xbox 20gb
hard drive?

Last time i got online was when t6 arrived.i had to update my console so it could play the game....
