Just received it. Havent had the chance to play a game yet.

The damn thing idles at 64 degrees. I wonder if thats normal??
Edit: idle temp 41 degrees.
Thinking of returning it and getting a 780 gigahertz edition.

yup that card has a lot of heating,throttle and noise problem but if u have water cooling that card is king of kings other wise buy RX280 CF my advice and

Thank you. I knew about the problems already. I dont overclock. But if it does create problems for me, I could get a custom cooler. Right now I have my eyes on mk26 black edition, but I'll see what happens.

Bad move buying a reference design..Its all over the internet r9 290x current designs had temp issues with gpu clocking 95 C in demanding games..I am waiting for sapphire windforce edition to launch then i would definitely buy this gem..

89k including customs??@kaiser or a family member bought it from uk?

I am not bothered by the temps as AMD themselves consider 95C as optimal for the entire life of the card. The noise doesn't bother me either because I use headphones.

I am based in Ireland and paid for it in pounds. 89k was the estimated rupee equivalent. Having said that, this card can be bought for cheaper now.

sir even if the price of 780 goes to 400$ the card will be sold for 79k in Pakistan, there is no rules and policy.. everybody selling on their own price

regarding 290x, the price tag which i have heard is 65-70k
and that seems to be fair enough... as if one goes for 7970CF the price will be same so why not to get pin pack card which is actually a titan killer

i will see the price then will decide though i have eyes on 290x only... 280 is useless since its rebranded 7970...

lets not get carried away --its not a titan killer and neither it can be --it might lead in some benchmarks --but its killer is coming in the form of the gtx 780ti ..so time will tell what kills what ..

the 290 is selling for 55k ..thats the price i got for sapphire brand and same 70k for 290x ....lets see if price drops on them they always do dont they ---i have my options on 290 tri fire but as i have surround and dont have dp then thats another damn issue --hence i think i will stick to what i have for now will see later ..

Yea. I am waiting on my Arctic accelero hybrid vga cooler that I have ordered separately. Will test when that arrives.
