Played bf4 for a couple of hours the other night. But didn't check the temps. Will report back when I get off work today.

Just received it. Havent had the chance to play a game yet.

The damn thing idles at 64 degrees. I wonder if thats normal??
Edit: idle temp 41 degrees.
Thinking of returning it and getting a 780 gigahertz edition.

install afterburner ....run a benchmark after its over look at afterburner screen there u will find the temps min / high etc ...give feed back on that ...

also play bf4 on max setings for like 30 min or so --please turn fan speed to 90 % and report temps then do same with 100 % fan speed .

same case like 6950 and 6970...


Bios flash will make it 290x.. (2t)

doc a lot of ppl geting r290 and some gpu with bios flash turn out to be complete r290x models --cant wait to get my hands on my quad gpus ---but hell its equal to performace of a gtx 780 which is still expensive --

in pak price of gtx 780 is ame as that of r290x --guys attention all

Its working very well at the moment. The only downside is the 4 and a half slot cooler. Its massive. But then the temps are very acceptable. Idle 32C and 62C after 15 mins of furmark. Have flashed hacked bios with no throttling and no vdroop.
Might add another gigabyte version later. Now waiting for my 4770k and ud5h mobo.

By the way, installed the card in second pcie slot with the top taken by the xonar. only downside is this card is running at x8. But this is a temporary arrangement till my new motherboard arrives.

its much better cooling and no throttling and i can hardly hear it. I have installed it in the second pcie slot for the time being. the sound card is in the first. But this is temporary.

as i said doc ---dont mind but i think u over did it ----the windfoce edition is superior and slim 3 fans and 2 slot ..

i think u will still get a good price as its short in intl market T the moment --rest ur choise - personally temps dont bother me -- there was a new flash for sapphire gpus dont know what they did but cards are not that warm now ---temps stay a 70c at i guess 57 percent fan speed . not bad

if i increase them to 60 percent well it becomes loud due to 4 gpus but temps dont go above 68c---its winters here -summers is a differetn story
