Pakistani Dramas O.o

Ok, so this has been eating me forever, more like ever since my parents got the dish network for ARY and GEO. I simply CANNOT stand the soap operas and dramas they show day in and day out, they are REPULSIVE! A couple of reasons why i think so:

-OVERLY dramatic scenes which last 15 minutes to the length of the whole episode
-AWFUL camera angles and effects (inversion of colors, sudden zoom ect).. ok we get it, they're mad!
-Provincial plots usually involving adultery, rape, family politics, affairs and all the old stuff
-BAD acting from all actors, never seems like they are really portraying anyone at all, just plain stupid
-Use of other music (not pakistani) ex: when i heard the Halo theme song and ran to the TV to find some douche running through the forest, i was DONE) :rip:
-Too much crying, sadness, crying, yelling, and did i mention crying?
-One scene is the WHOLE episode, let us see something else!
-Inappropriate dressing-women wearing sleaveless dresses and what not, Astaghfar!
-the lame attempt of actors to speak english, you can't so DON'T
-wacky and completely lame sound affects that would be used in children's cartoons to convey comedy? i don't think so

and there are plenty more reasons but i'll just leave it at that. So tell me guys, gal(s), do you like the dramas they show on pakistani channels?

Well paki dramas are no indian soap clones, in the old paki studios broadcasted marvels but now they are crap!

i agree, it seems like Muslims in the US are more religious than those in Pakistan! and it just might be true

It is true dammit!! Speaking of dramas, 80's pakis tv soaps were jewels for entertainment but now they are just shit. There are some shows on GEO which are watchable but not too greatly.

I myself watch almost all programs on HUMTV and they are KICKASS i tell you, all are based on NOVELS if you ever read them
Currently playing drama which is hottest nowadays is MERI ZAAT ZRE BENISHA and humtv have provided way too many awesom serials in past years like .. LIBAAS and others , not to mention faisal Qureshi is getting mature in his acting day by day

Sorry to say but you are talking about indian dramas here on STARPLUS and others..Coz being a paki and watching dramas and serials myself i dont see anything nto even one thing in the above list

Oh God i hate Geo soaps. Never ever, even by mistake ,watch a JS productions drama.
Nowadays it`s the same old "Ghisa Pita" plot. Conspiracies and more conspiracies that never end. Surely Saas bahu isn`t the only issue in our society is

Like Jayzzy said, Humtv is the best when it comes to Dramas. I never watched it but a lot of people praise it so it must be producing quality dramas .

I`m still in favour of the 13-14 episodes drama serial. It`s perfect in all aspects

first and foremost, i'm a girl so i don't understand your "porn" concept. Ok, it may be from european whatever, but the fact that its present on these dramas is obvious.

I'm not familiar with HUMTV but i do know for a fact that all the things I listed above do exist in GEO and ARY dramas (most) and i was not referring to any indian channels, although these things may appear in them too.

And no disrespect, how have you not seen inappropriate dressing in shows? It's everywhere. And i live in the US, and i see it, so you must have seen it. But again, i only believe what i see and i see everything that i listed above.

As for the bad acting and what not, im basing that on the amazing american shows (but it's ok for them to be inappropriate because it's in their CULTURE, and not ours)

I think your views are different because you physically live there and please, i'm watching a soap right now, its so dumb.

Yar its not that that how you explained :|. Pakistan is still good than India in Dramas. No doubt Indian serials have nothing instead of few typical manipulations that expose their actual intentions. Bullshit that is bullshit.

Now paki: Old is gold. But now days best Damara channels working good. Like Hum Chanel and ARY Digital+++
I only watch : Perfume Chook Monday to Thursday 7.30pm(PST) on Hum TV.

Our dramas r WAY better than STARPLUS craP.....i know that rite now we cant compare them with da 80s but its getting better and better...

Couldn't agree with you more on these points. I once (oh God why did I ) saw a drama in which there was this scene with 3 people just staring at each other without saying anything and the camera zoomed onto once's face then there were flashes and thunder :S then onto the other person's face then the same thing repeated, this cycle continued for ATLEAST 10 frikking minutes !

Bahoo returns.
Saas kills her again, this time using acid on face.
Bahoo returns with plastic surgery ahahahhahahaha

Drama never ends. All the Dads and Granddads are just accumulating in the house. They dont die. Their moms are younger than the daughters lol. They get really astonished on lil things, like bookhaar. OO Dadi apko to 101 bookhar hia, and then there was strange DHANK DHANK music for 10 mints lol. This is what I heard yesterday while studying in the drawing room lol =D.

People have all 7 janams in a single drama.

and totallyme ur rite at some points but watch some humtv
dey show way better dramas wich actually hav some class and quality
geotv shows r so crappy and r only cheap imitations of sitara plus dramas !!!!!
All of da geotv and ary shows r filmed at da dubai corniche
wid a budget of say....less than 1000 rs
