Im just posting my opinion, do me a favor nd dont post a verse and lock this up, you know who you are.
To begin with, I'ed like to say I am not a very old pg member although I joined back in 09. I came here after googling 'pakistan gamers community' and I got more than what I had expected. This forum had everything, a great marketplace, an even greater game discussion area and answers to all my queries regarding..well...everything.
That was then, and it stayed that way for quite a long time until we started getting treated like shit.
By 'we' I mean PG members who joined in 09 or before that or before the 'moderator raining era', by this I mean the huge number of new moderators. Now I dont have problems with any of the new moderators, I have problems with their ways of moderation. I would guess that the reason for making a LOT of moderators might be because of the huge increase in the number of the members but why did the PG admin, the REAL authority, let these 'competent' people loose? Now when I asked about this I got the answer that they were simply 'following the rules', So I ask the PG admin, were you guys high when you made those damn rules?
Did you forget this forum is still a Pakistani forum? If you take my example, I would rather buy games at full price, I would rather go for discussions at sucky american or english forums, I would rather leave forums entirely than be treated like shit, but then again I am one individual, and as unfortunate as this country's fate has been, I stand little chance of changing anything here, unless i wait 15 years and hope for the best

Now, coming to my point, first things first, treat people like people, not animals. Believe me, the only reason people dont fight with the moderators is because they have a sort of a upper hand, but if any of us had a chance to actually meet the moderator, you know what to expect next. PG used to be so much fun, it was something to go and chill, talk and discuss when the rules were lenient.
When I wrote this I did not mention any names not because Im afraid of some potential ban or anything, but because I choose not to, but many people would have such memories when they thought the rules are getting retarded or the mods are getting way out of hand, when mods can sticky threads that make little or no sense just because they can, or when supervisors get banned, they emerge as moderators or when a mod gets into an argument, they settle the matter with warnings but when two dudes have an argument, they get banned, when people post off topic it gets deleted, when a mod posts off topic, its actually not violation.
I tell you, no system in this world is perfect but the better ones are those that stay close to perfect, and the way things are, well, you're going 180 degrees from perfect.
I dont own this forum, Im far from being a moderator, but this is just my opinion, been wanting to speak it out for a really long time and this is not even the complete thing but you'll get the idea.
Please think about the situation of Pakgamers, you might think its all good, but think again, have a sort of a 'people's opinion discussion' or something to actually know what the members have to say about the rules or the moderators. Believe me, if we started getting treated the way we used to or better, you wouldnt need to be this strict to actually 'make' us follow the rules, you make changes, thats your part, we'll do the rest, We love PG just as much, or even more than you guys do and we want to see it a better place for the both of us.
I wrote this on the grounds that members still have a say here, or they can post in chit chat about anything they want, and if even thats not allowed anymore, go ahead, lock this up ban me for life

So here I am, with some of the incidents I could think of, they may be small in magnitude or something but they'll serve their purpose.
Now I am not pointing fingers at anyone, Im actually taking your names.
A few months ago, some children started talking crap on a thread in the chit chat cafe, many of you will remember that, and one of them was a supervisor shary, now ALL of those kids got banned, I say well done, and then a week went by and that supervisor became a moderator. I was like WTF? Now I know its stupid to think he was promoted for posting crap, maybe the decision of his promotion was taken prior to his misbehavior, but even if it was, why did the admin stick to the decision even after seeing the level of maturity in the kid? How did they think he was still right for the job?
Apart from that, shary may be a oh ma gawd super mod or something, but you put someone in charge of a marketplace whose trader score just started piling up when he was made a moderator, when he dint know a single thing about PSN game sharing and he was teaching ME how to do something I HAD BEEN doing for I dont know how long. And one time when I had an issue with a guy over some deal going wrong and I contacted him for support, he replied something like this' yar ap apne matter seltle karke muje bta dena. what the hell?? What is your damn job then if you can't even sort out a simple issue?
A new section was opened, the automobile club, first thread to be stickied, post your ride's pic, fine lets get on with it, I go and post pics of my City and mistakenly say it goes to 120 in the third gear, now that starts a discussion over gears, admin steps in, deletes every single off topic post and warns that no such poss will be tolerated, I say well done, then a global mod steps in with his theories or facts or whatever and gives a short essay on gearboxes, that for some reason is not off topic and stays there and is still there. So rules apply to mods? hmm...
And now coming back to the famous mod of pg, Major Aly.
First of all, my same problem with him, what are basis on which he was made a moderator? Does posting rage comics and acting like a comedian qualify for the position for a moderator here? He was all funny and cheerful, as per his 'about me' and when you make him a moderator, poof goes that fun, we have someone who tells ME that what I have been doing here for the past two three years and which was okay with Wajhi is now somehow wrong? This comes from a guy who has not even been here longer than I have? As per Inferno, the rules havent been changed, so its either I started taking drugs alongside countless others who think what I'll write after this is true or Major Aly simply started showing off his 'authority'.

First of all, dude if you are still confused whether I was referring to you or not, the VERY FIRST line of this thread is directly referring to you, I dont know how you dint see yourself there.
If I remember correctly, he donated 56 dollars to PG when PG was in dire need of financial aid and he got that purple color just so he could get recognized. He started posting and his posts were way out of this world,what I mean is I could hardly understand the purpose of pushing verses and quotes into posts to make em look like something, I really dint get what you were trying to do there but whatever it was, it worked for you and poof you became a mod. Now heres the problem, you dont simply know what the chit chat section is for. It says we can post anything about anything we want, its a damn chit chat cafe, not an embassy hall or a conference room. Now I dont mean let people post crap, I am saying is that if something has been going on since before you were born on PG, please for the love of GOD LET IT STAY THAT WAY! I am talking about the awkward moments thread, that has to be one of the best threads in this section and you come here post in your BOLD WHITE AND RED FONT that we should stop doing what has been going on here for like forever? I am not in favor of vulgarity or profanity but if you must insist that we cease all 18+ stuff, then please delete EVERY single post that you think is 18+ from that thread, name it to'awkward moments for kids PG 13' and take another source of entertainment from us, or you can simply listen to guys, the members, and add an 18+ title on it, that may not be what you want but at least it'll serve its purpose, and most importantly WE would be happy with it. And about you stickieng every other 'educational' thread, well I have two things to say about that, the sticky section has gotten congested dude, let it breath, and secondly if you tend to keep it that way, then I'll have someone make a separate Matric thread, an Fsc one, an Undergrad one, separate for meds and engineers, a post grad thread and I want them all to be stickied, dont worry, they will be loaded with content.
As you can see, the points I am trying to make here are that someone clearly misjudged people when making the moderators, or if you were giving them chances, then the least you could do was teach them the basic laws of social interactions, when I had issues before and I would talk to Muaaz or wajhi back in the day, and shyber not long ago, it felt like talking to people who actually give a damn of what I say, I respect all these people and would happily accept there authority, hell I wouldnt mind if they banned me for a justified reason. But taking to Blastwave is like taking to a traffic police officer of Pakistan, whatever you say, it'll fall upon deaf ears and you'll end up getting screwed.
I ask you, please reconsider your decisions, there are far better people for that moderator status, who actually talk to people they way you're supposed to, and not in a tone which not only implies but directly states the term of demanding respect. And if you INSIST on keeping these people, then please for all our sakes, teach them some manners, some soccial values, some ethics so that the next time my post gets deleted and I receive a PM, its not white blood calling me a faggot, its a warning in a simple yet understandable tone that I have done something wrong and I shouldnt do that again, I will be more than happy to get banned if I repeat the same stupid mistake.

now you'll defend your deletion of posts with the first part of the definition, what about the rest? How is asking someone a simple question such as the price or the region for a game that is not only helpful to us but also to a LOT of people who might be interested in buying and in turn beneficial to the seller himself regarded as spam? Either you think of a name for this rule or you let sensible posts live, one post in ten threads WILL NOT turn the marketplace into a fish market, but what you're doing right now will most likely turn it into a barren land.
