What's your budget ?
So I ordered Kenwood with free installation for 34,200 1 ton. But since Daraz is Daraz they still have the item in stock but claim it's out of stock because the supplier is Karachi based and no way usko waray mein parta yeh order. Anyways they then suggested electrolux thunder series with heat and cool function in same amount so I said yes. Ordered on 19th April, last night they told me Kenwood was out of stock. The end result is that buying physical could have been much faster.

It's April and summer is starting to change WAPDA's mind already.

For the past couple of days they've lowered down the wattage where my AC compressor would trip.

I heard getting a Stabilizer is the solution.

I own a Mitsubishi Window Unit - I won't be able to change to a split unit so will have to do with this.

Can you guys guide me which Stabilizer I should get and from where?

This is my AC's stats - it has both cool and heat functions [though never used the heater :p]:

....................Capacity .................Wattage ......Ampere
Cool (220V): 4000W(3400kcal/h)....2600W..........12.5A
Heat (220V): 4100W(3500kcal/h)....4450W..........20.0A

What capacity Stabilizer should I have minimum? 3000W?

Guy got Orient Ultron Plus series 2 ton inverter AC for 96k. Here are the amp readings, can some guru electric tell me about the saving and stuff.

Room Temprature 36 degrees, roof gets direct sunlight. AC temp set to 27 degrees.

10:15pm:
Start 0 - 0.2
compressor turns on 9 - 10 amps

11:22
Amp 3.5-3.9
Room temp 29 degree.

I never checked the amp with previous 2ton Dwalence ac. I will check the units today and let you guys know how much units are consumed.

Just got finished installing 1 ton portable Sansui (japanese) ac in brothers room. Cooling and throw is good.

Advantages are:

1. Will take up smaller space.
2. No external unit and therefore no rust to deal with as outer units (specially in karachi) get rusted quickly.
3. it not only cools the air, but they also dehumidify it, leaving your space both cool and dry as karachi goes through high humidity from time to time.
4. they’re portable so it’s easy to relocate them from room to room due to wheels installed at the bottom of the ac

Just fyi here is video with a portable conditioner.

There is an article in pro Pakistani about 320 watt personal AC.

Its useless for its price and it cools from the front buy produces heat from the backside.

anyone fully knowledgeable about inverter acs here? as far as i know it can be run off of a ups very easily as it does not consume those house shaking watts when the compressor starts and rather slowly rises its wattage till the cooling potential. At least that was true for a toshiba inverter i read about in its brochure. If only that fact is true then i will never buy a normal a.c again.
