Applying To Universities in Pakistan

LUMS gaiz, I have a question regarding the photos you have to submit when applying. How important are these photos? And can they be changed later on? Long story short, I can't get a photograph right now, so I took one of my old photographs and photoshopped its blue background into white. The photoshop becomes apparent if you zoom it up.

Also, can I submit recommendations from O Level teachers from a different school? The instructions only say that the teacher must've taught you in the past two years, nothing about whether they should be from your current school or something.

I did the same when submitting my photograph. Just make sure the background is white and the edited part isn't too obvious.
It's preferable to get the recommendations done from the same school. But it doesn't really matter to be honest. I doubt anyone reads it.

One more thing. Theres a lot of confusion going around in my school. Do we need to send our school transcripts? It says so on the instructions, but two of my friends who mailed LUMS were told that the CIE certificates would suffice.

I've got another query regarding LUMS admission. Can we send attested print outs of SAT score reports instead of sending the scores via College Board? Seeing as how it isn't really needed, I'd rather not waste the money.

I'm not sure about that to be honest. Better call their Admissions Office and ask directly.

You can apply for most of the university, but Equivalence Certificate is required.

NUST can accept students on the basis of O Levels exams, provided you complete your A Levels just after clearing the entry papers. But not 100% sure about this.

you need to get that matric equivalent certificate IBCC. and then after you clear your a-levels you need the inter equivalent.

Lol, can you apply to a UNI with just matric? O Level is the equivlent to Matric so you cant apply to a UNI without doing A Level/FSC/FA first.

Not possible within Pakistan. In the USA you can get into some community colleges on the basis of O levels. In other places as well, I think some of the less popular unis might enroll you on the condition that you complete foundation year with them (an extra year of studies prior to actual uni classes).

Agha khan in May. And all the other medical Unis in June-July and later.
