The combination of alphabets below are written by someone almost your age, who has gone through one of the most exhilarating, enjoyable and ultimately depressing phases of one's life: Falling in love.

Just because we refuse to accept its existence doesnt mean that it does not exist. It simply means that the problem continues unresolved under the carpet, but it does go on.

Falling in love is epic at first, but sometimes issues arise which can prove to be terrible for both the individuals involved.

Here's a few tips to identify a self-consuming, bad relationship:

- You only seem to care about ONE person in your life.
- You stop caring about your family and your friends.
- You begin to ignore your friends to be with that ONE person.
- Your grades begin to drop significantly.
- You lie more often than you did before.
- You begin to steal money or lie about money.

If you find yourself in any one of these situations, ask yourself this: Is this what LordIT warned me about?

If the answer is yes, then consider where your relationship stands.

I dragged a bad relationship for 2 years hoping things would be better one day, they never did and eventually I lost almost everything.

My friends and family used blackmail and logic to help me understand that I was being absorbed by this bad relationship, but what I needed was a reality-check.

Let this thread be a reality-check for you young lovers.

Too bad. Yes i did go through most of stuff you mentioned above.
My friends and family told me to stay away from her, but i didn't wanted to listen to anyone about this.

i hoped everything will go alright one day, but no nothing went well.

Now she is married to someone i had a fight with in my university. and i am here continuing my live alone without her.

But still can't forget those days and especially can't forget her. i messed up my life then and still i regret why did i met her in my life and if i did met why did we go separate ways
i was like gone crazy about her for the first time i saw her, and i didn't had any words to talk to her.. i wanted to speak to her but i couldn't had courage for 1 whole semester...lol.

Anyways nw a days my best friend is my computer and my work.

Nah. Not at all. You see the other's OUTER beauty first, and inner beauty isn't seen. So being beautiful won't justify my love for her. It's the combination of both surat and seerat.

World is FULL of outer beauty.. Trust me. You see one girl, and the next girl you see is prettier than her. There's no end to it. But just being beautiful won't suffice. Looks DOES matter, but if she knows she's too beautiful, she'll start exploiting. (IFF she's fugly on the inside)

You see, when I indulge myself in a Mighty Zinger at KFC, or an Original Thickburger at Hardees, the only thing I seem to care about is how mmlicious that stuff is and how much I enjoy it. I dont bother with the details of whats inside it, because the whole package seems to satisfy my needs.

I've never bothered to ask myself what is love, because I never found the question, or the answer intriguing enough.

The concept of love is a whole discussion in itself. Even if I try to give you an answer, that answer will only hold true for me.. because I have a different interpretation of love.

To make your life easy, think of love as a change in the chemical composition of your brain's tharki area.

E.g I am unable to make friends with a person if I don't find their personality appealing, you can be rich, beautiful, popular and still be unattractive to me, thats just how MY mind works. Therefore you can't say that saying inner beauty matters is BS, it sounds BS to you, seems perfectly normal to me.

I'd just add, when you're with the right person, doesn't matter if a girl you like or a friend ( a boy) or a colleague or whatever, with the right person, all of this theory and experience goes out of the window and things just work. Each relationship, each person is different, you can not categorize or build up a strategy, thats not how human relations work. And honestly, no one else can advice you on such stuff, its pointless. Its always best to keep such stuff to yourself in my opinion.

In my limited knowledge I will agree with this, persuaded both by personal experience and by what I have witnessed from afar. I wouldn't say love transcends reason, but it most certainly travels a different road.


Planning and grooming can aid in the courtship, but the final step, the one that takes you over that line in the sand and into the realm of love, feels like an immutable force impervious to manipulation. It cannot be forced or shunned; when it happens, it happens. Canute faired a better chance of stopping the tide than any of us do in resisting the onslaught of love.

Please read my post carefully before calling me a brainless tharki who's just looking for timepass . It was not about love, but about the question what is love.

You misunderstood my post. It was solely in reply to the question what is love. The KFC, Hardees thing.. it was all about "what is love".. and my reply was that I dont care what it is, I just fall in love every 2-3 years and keep at it untill I get dumped .

If you go through my posts, I've mentioned many times that these things are different for every person, which is why I was refraining from going into this discussion.
You have a decent approach to the inner beauty thing, and when I decide that its time for me to look for a person to marry, I may take a similar approach.. but the people I've met talk of inner beauty as something straight out of a bollywood movie. Its hypocritical.

The people I've met, dont even bother looking at the average looking guy/girl, their crushes are absolute hotties and they go head over heels for them, and then they give me this crap about inner beauty.. they seek inner beauty. The ugly girl/guy doesnt even get a chance to show their inner beauty. Nigga/Abuses will lead to ban pleaseee.
