Is going abroad after A-Levels a good choice? If I do plan to stay in Pakistan, Is F.Sc better or A-levels?

finishing O-Levels this May and just felt like asking. Good at every subject except Math, I royally suck at it. What career path should I pursue?

I have Software engineering in mind and that's it.

Buddy now that you have done you O Levels, you might as well stick to your A levels cuz you won't be able to adjust for FSc (aur saal to extra chala he gaya so yeah). And you obviously will have an option for studies abroad after that. If you can afford it you can go for bachelors otherwise do your bachelor's here and aim to go for master's abroad (Cuz obviously since bachelors has a longer duration so it ends up being more expensive). As for maths yar engineering main shuru k do saal jhelna to parega lekin there won't be too advanced stuff, most of it would be the same as Fsc. like integration waghaira. So you'll do okay in maths at University level.
Best of luck. And yeah keep looking at stuff right now and make up your mind right now about which field you might wana go into cuz later you might end up rushing yourself into something you never wanted to do. Best of Luck mate.

Karachi.
If you want to stay in Pakistan and want admission in a great university, then there would be more seats for Fsc. A Level seats are very few...

A friendly advice to u..
if u want to get admission in a government university then forget about doing A level since there are very few chances that u get a seat or if u score A* in all courses then u will easily get, and afaik getting A* is not a piece of cake,
even people getting As in A levels got seat in self finance.. so make ur choice wisely mate coz once u have jumped u wont be able to come back.. :)

Good luck

IMO doing A levels is only a drawback if you want to apply to government universities (because they have fixed, limited seats for foreign boards). Otherwise, A levels students fare better in academics because it's much more concept-based than FSc.

Lekin yar I've seen students converting to FSc from A levels and their performance is highly affected and it's mainly because of the difference in the formats of the two systems and the approaches that students have to adapt in order to perform well in both systems are entirely different. So if you can't perform well in FSc then getting into govt. universities won't be possible anyway

Going abroad is always a better choice provided that you end up in a university ranked under top 50 by QS or Times ranking. There is not a signle pakistani university in the top 50 university rankings. Also, you must know that studying abroad is very expensive roughly PKR 2-3 million per year. If you have that kind of money and have the grades to end up in a high ranking university then surely go abroad for study. Furthermore, the employment situation abroad is worse then that in Pakistan (except for a countries including Canada and Australia) so don't expect to pay your study expense through part-time employment and it is highly unlikely that you would end up with a employment abroad after graduation. This situation is not true/ invalid if your UG school is amongst Ivy league in US, Mcgill or Queens in Canada or Oxbridge (or maybe LSE and Imperial) in UK.

You need exceptional grades to get admission in above mentioned colleges. Hint: >=6A*s and 8As in total at O'level and most probably Straight A*s at A level along with excellent personal statement (college essay), teacher's recommendation, and above average extra curriculars (only true for US otherwise average).

P.S: speaking with experience.

You reap what you sow. This is what happens when you take away choice from consumers. Even with 88% split going to developers, they can't recoup costs. Meanwhile, Helldivers 2 is a massive hit for Sony thanks in big part to Steam.
