Naughty Dog’s acclaimed PS3 trilogy receives remastered release
You’ve asked for it and we listened. Today we finally get to announce that Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves and Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception are being released for the PS4 in the Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection, available 7th October 2015 (9th October in UK and Ireland)!
Since the launch of the PS4, we’ve seen plenty of requests across our Twitter,Facebook, and message boards all over the internet for the first three games in the Uncharted series, which have managed to sell an amazing 21+ million copies and garner an average 92 Metacritic rating, to receive a remastered release.
We couldn’t agree more, as what better way to get prepared for Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End than to revisit – or play for the first time – the first three games that launched the fortune-hunting icon that is Nathan Drake?

Early last month, Eric and I took a trip to Austin on the down low to visit the incredible team at Bluepoint Games to check out Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection in person and get ready for this announcement. What we’ve seen of the collection so far looks fantastic!
The team at Bluepoint Games is incomparable regarding their portfolio of achievements and remastered releases, and we’ve been working closely with them to bring over our engine to make Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection an exemplary game.
That means not only allowing you to play the single-player campaigns of Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, and Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception in 1080p and 60fps with better lighting, textures, and models, but they’re also working on a range of improvements and additions across all three games.
We put together the list of these improvements and additions based on countless forum posts, messages, Tweets, and even through personal conversations we’ve had with a number of you over the years. More on these specifics in future updates.
By pre-ordering Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection now, you can receive the Nathan Drake Pack which includes single player skins of iconic Drake outfits as well as everyone’s favorite weapons: the Golden AK-47 and Golden 92FS guns. If you pre-order the digital download via the PlayStation Store, you will also get an Uncharted: Nathan Drake Collection PS4 dynamic theme.






Oh, and one other important note, buying the Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection grants you exclusive access to Uncharted 4: A Thief’s Endmultiplayer beta (while the beta is available, of course.)

Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection brings the first three Uncharted games to the PlayStation 4 on Oct. 9. And with it, access to the Uncharted 4: A Thief's End multiplayer beta.
The ported collection of PlayStation 3 Uncharted games was leaked a bit early, hitting in a PlayStation Store ad on the mobile site last night, but without any details.


The collection will include Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves and Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception, all ported by Bluepoint Games, according to a PlayStation Blog story.

All three games will be playable in 1080p and 60fps with better lighting, textures and models, according to the story. They will all also include Photo Mode and new trophies.
More specifics on improvements to the ports were promised in a future update.
If you pre-order the collection you get the Nathan Drake Pack which includes single player skins of Drake outfits as well as everyone's favorite weapons: the Golden AK-47 and Golden 92FS guns. Sweet. Releasing remasters is a good strategy of attracting people who are on the fence about buying a new console. Particularly those who didn't get to game on previous gen consoles. :drake:

The Box Art specifically states "Single player campaign of all three games" ..... That would be pretty stupid on ND's part.

Uncharted 4 Beta MP is included and that's all is needed.

UC 4 MP is from The Last of Us team and not the clusterfuck like in UC 2 and 3, which would have made them redundant anyways.

UC2 multiplayer is pretty decent.

But still it is no excuse to remove a vital component of a game. Since unlike MCC there is no graphics overhaul, why do you want a stripped version of a game with slight bump in res and frames.

A beta multiplayer is still a beta and not even special considering every big release comes with a beta anyways.

The point is that this game is for the Uncharted fans, which is always known for it epic SP campaign. You are free to not buy it. The MP stuff was always an afterthought and was never a core part of the experience. I have never played any MP of Uncharted but loved the SP.

UC 4 MP takes the good parts from UC2/3 and The Last of Us and creates new experience of it. It is not like Halo series where MP was a core part of the game, and for some, even the selling point of the game. So not sure how that matters here.

I remember seeing this footage from the desert part of Uncharted 3 which showed how it would looked if game ran at 60 FPS. MY GOD it was gorgeous, almost like CGI. Playing the whole game like that will be so sweet.

I'll definitely pick this up whenever I get my PS4. Plus, this way a lot of new people on Sony side will get to enjoy this great franchise and get ready for Thief's End.

This is where Trophies come into play
They give an incentive to replay the game. I never managed to replay UC 1-3 but I will definitely try to plat this new trilogy.

Also I don't know about you but a MP game demands a lot of time. Those who don't have the luxury of having free time, like me, have zero interest in MP. I bought KZ, BF 4, Advanced Warfare and never managed to play much of their MP, because I was always busy in finishing another game and going back to them solely for MP is not my idea of spending the free time that I have.

Of course, there are also those who just buy 1-2 games each year and play their MP all day and night *cough* Destiny *cough*
