Apnay payr pey kulhaari maarein gey if they go ahead with this, in my opinion. Why they'd want to compromise their leading position in this generation when Xbox One is already far behind both in numbers and sales, just doesn't make sense. They can't seriously hope to expect people to pay up a higher price for a so called 4K model, when they had already learnt their lesson in the PS3 high price fiasco.

4k is for native 4k support in media NOT games !

Gameplay experience will remain the same on both. Neo will offer better performance and upgraded visuals only in single player mode !

They are doing this to support psvr
and 4k media mainly, higher visual fidelity in games is just a bonus !

I think $400 is nothing for 4k ps4. What else u need in this kind of price if getting 4k videos and gameplay with better visuals. Just compare this price with a rig having high end graphic card to run 4k resolution gaming, only a single card will cost u $500. I am pretty positive what sony has decided to launch will be a revolution in console gaming life cycle. Look at all the gadgets around you, cell phones, tabs, tvs, they keep on advancing to the next level every year and even in months. Why not consoles should ahead after 3 or 4 years. Why wait for a full console life cycle of 6 or 8 years. If sony launches ps4 with upgraded specs we should take it as an Ps5. Life is short guys, take whatever you can and enjoy the moment by which means you can. Bs aik fiker hay....4k tv ka khercha [emoji6]

Why upscale, are they not upgrading the GPU chip as well? Upscale is a horrible thing...

because they cannot offer native 4k resolution for games within 400$ console. Even a High end gaming PC with high end graphics card barely can offer 4k gaming experience.

Current Ps4 cannot (in most games) offer full 1080p resolution with 60fps. So the newer Ps4 will be able to (in most games) offer 1080p with 60fps, which will be a good achievement imo.

Screw you Sony. I was about to buy a PS4 for Uncharted 4. But now I'm holding off from buying it till I see where this whole PS4.5 thing is going. If it is priced at a reasonable amount and is being released soon, I might buy it directly. Otherwise, chances are PS4 itself will get a price cut or a slimmer model, so I'll buy that then. Don't wanna buy a PS4 now and regret seeing a better version released so soon.

Wish I had such options. But I can wait considering there is a huge backlog of games waiting to be played on my PC. And some games on my PS3 too. Will just have to absorb UC4 hype when the reviews start coming in. XD
