Like I said there are a few maintenance activities going on so might have been temporary. Having said that, if the low ping route was intentional, then it will most likely restore around 28th Nov, unless PTCL finds a different route.PTCL pings to Middle East servers are worse again

Does anyone know about any kind of route optimizing activity at PTCL end? I was having 200 to 230 pings on PS4 for Rainbow Six Siege on European servers. But from past 2 weeks I am being connected on Asian servers with average pings of 120 MS. Also my Battlefield 1 pings on Asian servers like Japan were around 170 - 180.
But now BF pings are again hovering around between 230 to 250 ms. Where as Rainbow 6 pings are still stable at 120 ms.
Anyone know the details or any official news at PTCL end regarding their route alterations??

Can you share the source of this information? I could not find it on their twitter or website or elsewhere.
These things are at the discretion of the ISP. Both TW and PTCL only notify their corporate clients. Who in turn may notify their own customers however they want. The above notification seems like one of those.

My ping is still 70ms on Middle East Servers and I know its temporary... I wished it would be permanent .. I am desperately waiting for transformed packages and I dont have any hope left in PTCL

Unfortunately thats the reality regarding PTCL. They don't even understand their normal customer base and requirements. I never used PTCL before joining them, and still game on a local ISP that uses TW at their backend. (lmao)
Before taking a maintenance window, max international bandwidth utilized for a certain time is noted, and only then a decision taken whether we need more bandwidth on other submarine cables or not. Currently there's plenty available so maintenance activities in the past couple of weeks haven't effected anything. Other than pings ofcourse, since that relies on physical path mainly.
It used to be 100/25, but they've sort of unofficially made it half now.
Me and another guy on the 100 Mbps package confirmed that we're now getting 50 Mbps upload.
According to [MENTION=15943]UmerF[/MENTION], it should be symmetric now. Try inquiring about it with the BT staff.

Started Dead Island 2, and i find it pretty lame. The story is shit. The characters are either cringe or bland (all 6 of them), The gameplay isn't fun. Even the goddamn zombies don't behave like proper zombies. They're all fast & intelligent unlike how zombies are supposed to be like.
