i have 1mbs connection and getting very slow browsing and downloading speed. ping is also very high of about 3k. line parameters are good a/c to op. can anyone help me to resolve this issue. this is my speed test result

and below are my line parameters

It's either a router or back end problem. Ping 192.168.1.1 and post screenshot here. Also run another speedtest.

I called Ptcl today to register my compalaint and the operator told me that I had 1mbps 10gb connection even though I ordered a 2mbps unlimited package, then he forwarded me to another person whom I had to tell the story from the beggining and finally he agreed to upgrade my package to 2mbps. It's been 6 hours since then and still I'm getting 1mbps speed. This was my 2nd complaint and the first guy I talked to the day before yesterday didn't even tell me that I'm on 1mbps package, he just told me that my problem will be resolved in 24 hours.

Well, contrary to the regular chawal log in PTCL including the high haramkhor officials, he is genuinely helpful. He has always proved helpful whenever torrents were being throttled, unnecessary websites being blocked, or even pings etc. StrikerX may attest to that.

Anyway, apparently, public trackers are f*cked up for whatever reason. I just tried a private tracker, and to my surprise, its working fine :S A Public torrent, even a well seeded torrent (with active seeds crossing 300, and nearly zero active leechers). Not sure if its a Public Torrent specific problem, or its PTCL. My doubts are still on PTCL, because not only browsing is suckiest of all recently, but download speeds (usual downloads) are also greatly affected.

Oh well ... just another day

i have done a tons of complaints regarding issue of frequent disconnections. 1 day from complaint i get call :your complaint has been resolved if true press 1 if not 2. i press 2. later i call them and they say your complaint was resolved. WTF
even tweeted peeteeshitl care. no response

been there done that. like 3 5 visits a month. well a good thing happened today. yesterday i asked ptcl care guy to disconnect my connection. today got a call from office from them. they said your modem is problem come here and we will replace it. when i went there. he said it gonna have rs 1500 charges through bill. i said modem is under warranty (1 year) he checked and said yes its in warranty but you may still get charged. i said ok i will talk with the representative at twittter. then he said wait i will talk with my boss. he talked with him and said you can take a new one. I said want it handwritten on bill that i wont get charged. he after long conversation with his boss agreed and wrote and signed on bill. now i have another modem. lets see how it goes
