Great thread. Awesome initiative taken by @

With that said, I have some concerns about the visa application process. I'm currently applying for a Masters Degree in Construction Management from Salford University in the UK. I have yet to finalize my application cuz I'm waiting on my IELTS result but in the mean time want to get all the documentation done/ready for the visa application as much as I can. My main concern is about the visa application process, since I'm not going to any agents/consultants I am getting a bit paranoid over things. A few questions that have been bugging me;
1: Do I need all my degrees/certificates attested by the HEC? No O/A Levels for me, hence making a trip to Islo/Lahore will be in my immediate future?
2: Is it better to go to a consultant and have it done through them?
3: Apart from the University acceptance letter, Academic documents, bank statements and the TB test (says so on the UK immigration site), do they require anything else? Or any sort of attestation, or anything thats in the fine print, per se, that an average person applying by him/herself may overlook and could end up screwing up their visa application?
As far as the university requirement goes, my GPA is above the required limit (3.01), I'm hoping to get a 6.5-7 band on the IELTS which is again par/subpar (depending on the result) and finally I do have the necessary funding to show that I can support myself. Any help or additional info will be highly appreciated.
P.S. Please refrain from the "why applying here why not there" questions, I mean no disrespect when I say that but I've made up my mind. Thanks
