Muaaz Meaning it missed several events. I am 70% sure that it'll make it on TGS. But, this is SE, any lame thing is possible.

Why would they announce something like Final Fantasy in Gamecom/Germany of all the events/places? =\

If it still skips TGS then it is shifted to next-gen. period.

Aren't they showing other FFs' as well? Anyhow, I am betting the game is still exclusive, hence the whole new FF - which is multi - to please the 360 crowd. There is a high chance it might go to WiiU, considering how much Nomura and SE loved Nintendo this gen. But for 360, the possibility looks slim to none.

Final Fantasy XIII's Lightning-Based Game to be Announced in September

Not unlike the Jelly of the Month Club, this week's Famitsu is the gift that keeps on givin'.

The latest bit of newsworthiness from this week's publication involves Final Fantasy XIII's Lightning-centric content. FFXIII and XIII-2 producer Yoshinori Kitase said Square Enix will make an announcement about the next piece of its "Lightning Saga" at the Final Fantasy series anniversary event, which is scheduled for September 1 in Tokyo.

Mr. Kitase added that the Lightning project has just started and that Squenix will announce the game's official title at the event.

^ Who the fuck cares about this fruity, pink smacked, regular strumpet? Bring Versus and KH 3 - Versus first of course - on the table SE. The rest be damned.

Yeah they're showing a PC port of a 15 year old game and an MMO, Not exactly major stuff. Not for me anyways.Besides neither FF XIV 2.0 or FF VII being released on the 360 so I don't see how it's going to please the 360 crowd.

^^You're assumptions are pretty baseless though, I mean Bussiness isn't about Love and hate, it's about Money and Versus on the 360 will make money, it's as simple as that.If square still decides to keep Versus and Exclusive then that's their chopice but common sense and Logic would suggest that it's more likely that Versus will be multiplat.

Gizmo You do realize that it take MILLIONS to make a 5 mins CGI footage, right? I am not even counting the other things such as development costs, making graphics more pretty and what not, along with the pays for employees. And SE is notorious for those FMVs. XIII-2 was literally a flop in terms of overall investment and sales. It takes more millions to make a game, then more to port.

Wii U is the ONLY console that takes million $ dollars to port, and devs are calling it DIRT CHEAP. If one million is dirt cheap, I can only imagine how much it costs for devs to port games from PS3 to 360 or vice versa. And both of these consoles are very very expensive to develop for. PS3 being even more so in this regard.

My statements are not baseless, yours are. I am putting everything into the equation here. Do you really think they got all that money back with FF XIII and XIII-2 investments, with their other JRPG ventures on 360? They suffered 95%% loses in 2010 because of XIII and XIV. And 76 % in 2011.

If they really were making something out of these sales, their loses prove otherwise. So yeah, they have spent - probably the MOST expensive FF to date I can bet - god knows how many millions on Versus, and then, they should send more on port to 360, instead of Wii U that is quite cheap, and get virtually nothing in return to sink their company to the ground? Yeah. you are right and I am wrong.

Taking this to Wii U would be the best business decision for SE. On 360 will be the worst, as the sales will again bring back nothing. Good luck with your wishful thinking. This game ain't coming to 360, get over it. You want to play it? Buy a Ps3, or a Wii U. I don't get it, why would they bring Versus to 360? I just don't get your logic at all, given all the things I have posted above. Aside of a few diehards, no one wants to play Versus on 360. While the audience on PS3 and WiiU is HUGE.

What would be a better business decision? A dirt cheap port to a console that'll sell like hot cakes, or millions to break their stooped back on a console that will bring jack? The only reason XIII even went to 360 was because of M$'s money hats. And XIII-2 and 3 are OBVIOUSLY the content cut from the first game, which SE blatantly denied, and yet XIII's are popping out like children in third world countries.

Versus is developed from the ground up on PS3. If they HAD the intentions, they wouldn't have made a new XV, patched up XIV, and a new XIII-3, all on both consoles. Also, do you REALLY think Wada would keep something like this under wraps? If business decisions are a fact with Nomura, his games sure as hell prove other wise. Keep on dreaming OR buy a PS3 and sell your crap box that has no good games.

Geez dude, You're pulling all these facts straight outta your Ass.If it took "MILLIONS" to make a 5min CGI movie then XIII would've cost Square Enix more money than it took to make Avatar since it had hours of CGI cut scenes.Porting a game over to a console is a hundred times faster and cheaper than developing and entire game from scratch. The Assets are all there, the game has been made and planned out, all you needs to do is get it to run on the other consoles.

And where does it say that porting a game over to the Wii U will cost a dev exactly one millions dollars? lol You're making no sense.
