The biggest problem is most muslims don't think that way neither is there enough evidence in Quran to encourage this sort of thinking, AFAIK Islam is about total surrender and obedience to Almighty Allah. You hear you obey, questioning is not encouraged.
questioning is encouraged, but question what? there are thousands of ahadith, thousands of tafseers from authentic aalims... Allah ta'alas attributes are mentioned in the quran and they are well justified by examples in those specific chapters, you just cant say that quran doesnt support this type of thinking or that there is not enough evidence in there.. What we do is that we read quran in arabic, which we obviously dnt understand, learn translations of few surahs and dont bother with the rest and we end up thinking why's this and why's that on our beds when we are trying to sleep...
If Islam was about blind faith only then most of us wouldve been atheists saying "our ancestors believed in such and such blah blah this and that"... The Quran and tha ahadith make perfect sense to me, there are signs and then there is evidence which fuels my faith... What most people do is that they give lame excuses if they are asked questions regarding islamic laws and orders, they should come clean and say my knowledge is limited, i will look up your query and will let you know inshallah.....ive heard countless people saying "it just is !!!", i wasnt satisfied, i looked around a bit and got my answers
