Dear PG Community,
First of all, I want to start by saying I am humbled and overwhelmed by the support shown to me by complete Team PG in electing me as the new Gaming and Content Administrator, and giving me the responsibility to take our beloved community forward.It is true, that there are users who have been on PakGamers for longer period of time and have much more post count than me, but since joining PG in 2008, not one day has passed that I haven't been online of PG for a couple of hours. When I first joined PG and read through all this great material and brilliant discussions taking place, I was stunned that this community existed. Intelligent, funny, creative and wonderful people taking part in a healthy environment, mutual respect the likes of which I have never experienced in Pakistan. I questioned myself, how did I not know about this website? And thanked the heavens above that I stumbled upon it. For this, I must thank INF3RN0 for its inception and then Jshak to take it over from him.
I still maintain this belief that PakGamers is much more than just another gaming forum or the safest and trusted marketplace in Pakistan. (We can thank Jshak for that, who will remain the Adminstrator to Market place, subscription,advertising and general related forum issues). Yes, we are dedicated gamers, our blood made of 1s and 0s. But we are more than that as well. We don’t only come here just to talk about gaming experiences (like on most other gaming forums), but make real lifelong friendships, with people whose company we truly enjoy.
For this I would like to thank you; The Community.
The reason why I am trying to 'emotionally blackmail' you by writing the paragraph above, is so that you understand where I come from. I often don’t post a lot of serious stuff, but I guess the circumstance demands it. I have been given this wonderful opportunity, and I intend to fully utilize it to make PakGamers bigger and better than ever before. Mind you, it isn't going to be a smooth road, nor is it going to be an overnight revolution. But through hell or high water, we will InshAllah realize our goals; If there is a gamer in Pakistan; I want PakGamers to be his home.
We will be making a couple of significant changes and a decent number of minor ones, while also ironing out a few kinks along the way. A couple of Team PG members are going to be promoted and a few additions to the teams are to be made. We will also be refocusing the forum towards gaming content and creative works. So keep a keen eye and an ear, (the first official announcement of my promotion to Admin-ship was released on PG Podcast nearly a week ago), out for Announcements.
Right now though, I would like to announce the revival of Team UG project. Below are the details are outlined, I highly urge you to take part in this:
I promise to make our community proud, but I want the same from you guys. Please, this is a 'darkhuwast', do not shy away from Sharing, Liking, Tweeting and generally promoting PakGamers in real and digital life. I really hope that our 'Extreme' users take their experience and position in community a bit seriously and promote
PG as much as possible. I will provide you with 100% support wherever you may need it. We are a tech forum, and we are supposed to be on top of social media. I also encourage older members, who have ‘lost interest’ to come forth and help the community in different way.
So please join me, in welcoming this new era in history of PakGamers and making PG the place to be for our youth.
