We’re officially one month and a day into Halo: Reach’s lifespan according to my calendar and that, dear friends, is cause for some celebration. At the very least we should fire some stats off into the nighttime sky and kick the weekend off right. Sparklers in hand, our online team has some numbers that pack a whole lot of punch.

To date:

• 16,445 Man-Years have been spent playing Halo: Reach (Not to be confused with Dog-Years)
• 784,000,000 player-games have been played (1 game with 4 players is tallied as 4 player-games)
• 544,000,000,000 Credits have been earned (spend that money, playa!)
• 3,900,000 Screenshots have been uploaded (and plenty of them feature juvenile looks at Kat's "bad side")
• 5,970,000 total files have been uploaded (your bandwidth bill is in the mail)
• 300,000,000 Mountain Dews were do'd

The last stat might not be true. There's still probably a few bottles floating around that didn't get sucked down. But you really have played yourselves a whole mess of Reach. Which is awesome. And we’re just getting warmed up.

Are there noticeable intolerable frame drops in this game on occasion? I recently started the campaign ( no internet since i just moved :< ). I cant pin the source of the problem, and since the xbox, HDMI wire, LCD etc is all new, it might not be the game itself and be the equip or something else

I only saw considerable frame drops in the rescue aircraft mission thingy.

u knw there has been cases where frame drops were observed due to bad burned or low quality DVD,i have no idea how thats possible.i experienced frame drops in the prologue cutscene,a fire fight map,the last part of the last mission,on top of the spire etc etc.the funny part is that i have talked to many halo players on live about this and none of them experienced it on places where i did.although all of us had frame drops on the mission shyber posted,although not game breaking but its certainly there and for a gud reason(epic scale)

its an original disc bro...

My old setup is in Karachi along with my PS3, and I have no other games on the Xbox. Like I said there is the possibility it could be something else but i do not have anything to compare with at the moment. My original suspicion was the TV. I did in fact notice it originally during the prologue cutscene and that is perhaps what made me go anal and notice every time there was a hiccup.

I've finished HALO: Reach and without getting carried away I can honestly say that Reach has the BEST Campaign of all Halo games. No single level is boring. The post credits ending was a nice touch. Getting to see Capt. Price after 9 years was so cool. Reach FELL but Noble Team ROSE. Without them Master Chief or Cortana didn't stand a chance.

It's sad to see Bungie move away from HALO but these guys definitely deserve a break and an opportunity to try something NEW. Halo: Reach is one of the BEST first person shooters this generation. I'm not much into Halo's multiplayer but campaign wise Halo: Reach will be remembered as one of THE best first person shooters this generation IMHO.
