Pretty sure a faster than 2.4Ghz Dual-Core will play this just fine.

Exaggerated requirements.I bet i`ll be able to max it out, except APEX which`ll run at medium settings.
And effects won`t make this game so special. It`s just an added bonus to what this game will REALLY deliver

Anyway we`ll only know how well our PCs are gonna handle it once the demo comes out. It`ll be from the final version of the game so it`ll run the same as the original one.
The thing that really matters is how well it`s optimized. I have faith in 2k Czech because Mafia was developed chiefly for the PC and Mafia II is being done the same. No more dumbed down console ports *cough* GTAIV *cough*
The official requirements only tell half the story. Getting a Corei7 plus a GTX470+ will be overkill IMO. I`m just waiting for the demo because that`ll tell the real thing

damn u nvidia!! my 5850 feels totally worthless now... any advice ppl?? will the ps3 version have physx n wat abt the graphics?? will the decrease n risk of "failing" be worth physx in this game??

nvidia cards are always better choice
you can use a low\mid end nvidia card for physX

i was ordering myself a gtx 470 from america but i was advised against it, n now my bloody cousin is back n my cheap 3d card is no longer available!! -.-
question, games like crysis 2, etc... will they have physx too or is mafia 2 just a 1 off???

Physx is good, but it doesn't contribute much to the gameplay experience. I've played Batman AA with Physx... It was good to have, but nothing I was gonna really miss.
