I won't be surprised by his actions here, as piracy is a serious crime in 1st world countries, and he being a judge, who prosecute cases like these, cannot have the same thing happening to them...

Afterall there's a saying: "Apne girebaan main pehlay jhaanko"...

If it was found that the same thing that he has sworn to protect and be far away from is happening in his house, he would lose all his credibility and job and everything...

True his method was quite harsh but it did set an example for her daughter...

Thank your lucky stars guys that you live in a 3rd world country where piracy isn't treated with this severity...

Otherwise if you wouldn't have been spanked for your actions, you would've served jail time + a fine of upto $250,000 or so...

Run away from house
Suicide
Try to get back to his father
Try to be stronger and end-up with some bad company

if he really wants to follow rules then he should take appropriate action against her own daughter for piracy...beating down a young and disabled child like this itself is against the law therefore he is currently suspended,an investigation is goingon against him and he is being "Judged" by the other judges..

A judge that completely fails to understand the law, Piracy is a serious crime but Child abuse and assualt is far far worse my friend, The proper action to take in this case would've been turn his daughter in to the proper authorities or tay quite about it, but what he did is a far bigger offense then his daughter's and it's punishable with some jail time too I think.

my parents use to beat me when ever i do something wrong upto 20years . but i still love them . and due to them i am good person.
i have seen lots of spoiled kids due to parents negligence . some beating is good for the children. even Islam allow this.

I remember when i was small (like 8 or 9yrs)...i said my very first bad language (ghaddha/donkey) as a result, my ammi(late) light up a match and almost put that burning match on my tongue, i was scared to death.
