how to sabotage a PC?

take out your processor break some pins agr pin wala processor hai and put back in no display for sure. other then that pull some capacitors from random places

okay... now... take out your hdds... throw them on the carpet till they stop working(carpet will hide the scars of throwing)... after that take the fan out of the graphic card and make it work like crazy(so it burns out and then place the fan back it)... after that you switch to onboard video(when no one is looking)... after that stick something in the fan of your cpu so that it stops working... and then overclock it to hell... also pour something on your motherboard so that it gets burned out too...

you might want to adjust the order of the things i just suggested...

It's gonna be pretty difficult to destroy all the components and not even get caught.

For the psu switch it to 110v and turn on and then switch back to 220v

For the hdd, take a strong magnet to it while it's running.

For the processor take out the fan wire while it's running use it heavily and when it's done plug it back in

For the motherboard flash bios and restart, keep on repeating until the damn thing gives up.

yaar, overclock it to something thing reasonable. Enjoy the overclock while it lasts, mean while take your exams, your system will give up eventually. You Might need your computer for past papers and research.

You just need to destroy the processor. Take out the processor fan wire from the motherboard (thin 4 wires, connected to motherboard). And then turn on your PC. If it shuts down, turn it on again, and again and again. Cuz it might trip due to overheating.

ok while this thread has a lot of very clever & interesting to read stuff, i have something to add
messing with cooling of system will not kill it, nor will short-circuiting the psu; coz cpu has overheating protection & psu has overcurrent & short circuit protection
there are ways that will make ur pc look like dead, & when u go to sell it, u will get proper price coz the hardware will not be damaged. the only requirement for this to work is that you urself go to sell the pc & buy a new one, & only u know what the "problem" is & no one in ur house can repair it

1-simple method- remove the power button cable from motherboard & hide it behind the board

2-the nerdy way- cut a small square piece of thin plastic-shopping bag etc- & place it between processor chip & socket. No way in hell anybody's gonna get that thing running without removing the 'insulation'

then before selling, correct the "problem" & voila!

Simply he can also place heatsink without CPU a plastic bag can damage the pins

now that i've read the whole thread, the best method seems to be a bad bios update
start updating bios
switch off power during the bios update
pc wont boot, nalaiq shopkeeper wont know whats wrong, he will replace ram, cpu etc, pc still not working, finally u get a new pc

dismount the processor..hide it...and put the heatsink back on top as if the proc is still underneath..tell your parents it wont start...it will look wasted to the naked eye..then u can later sell all the products for future upgrades (no electronic components will need to fry)

BTW if u decide to fry it...do make a video and share!

Dont worry this is the typical answer of all parents for their children and i mean CHILDREN aka Kids, more stress on that word .

You need a new pc just place a deal with them whether its of scoring good grades or whatever appeals them , they will get you a new one for sure

I started my own work online , Made alot of money and now i have all of my favorite stuff worth 3 lakh which i always wanted to buy but my parents refused me and now im moving to another country soon with rest of my money

Surprised that no one is making logical suggestions such as telling him to tell his parents that the PC is MASSIVELY outdated now and that instead of frying it over self greed he can donate it to someone who can use it? Seriously I was on a P4 when C2d's were the trend and my mom wouldn't let me upgrade too but that still didn't stop me from buying my own C2D system by selling old junk around the house (mostly my old junk ) and in the end I gave the P4 to a family near my house which didn't have a PC and their son was able to enjoy CS 1.6 on it with his friends on his low end connection.

Before you follow the "helpful" advice in this thread I want you to think long and hard about what you are about to do and think of whether you would want your future children to do what you are doing right now. Your parents probably spent good money on that PC you call trash right now and all you are thinking about it is setting it on fire like its nothing. The least you owe them is to put it up for a good cause, you could give it to an underprivileged family and make a child / teen happy instead.
