Should be in the $30-40 range ala Alan Wake. Even the limited edition I got for the ps3 was relatively cheaper compared to newer releases. I think you'll probably be able to get it in that price range.

Call me crazy but a Dev which has created only one other game for the PC won't be that compelled to hasten there PC port of Dark Souls. They also have 3 other titles in the works atm and a new Souls game which I know there are working on in secrecy as we speak

A "straight up port" (as Namco wants it) could indicate:

- 30fps lock
- Resolution lock (highly unlikely but still, its possible)
- Slim chances of performance optimization
- Lack of visual customization options
- Poor keyboard/mouse support

This points towards an amateurish port at best, or possibly one of the worst of any game on PC. Looks like Namco Bandai reallllyyyyy wants PC gamers to 'buy' it.

Namco is handling this poorly. They don't have any right to complain if this doesn't sell well, provided that it is as pathetic a port as it sounds right now.

I said this before, Namco is only in it for the money. I seriously hope From Software didn't agree to a contract with Namco and that they'll partner with a better publisher with the next Souls game. The creative director of From Software said that they don't like making DLCs, once they have an image for a game, they game deliver the entire package in one go. They don't ponder over extra DLC for more cash. Namco is making them create extra content which I presume that From Software isn't comfortable with.

The part about no mods kinda puts me at ease cuz I'd hate to see Dark Souls turn into another Skyrim (only played with retarded meme mods)

Dude you do know that you don't have to enable mods? And get some actual mods. Like A Quality World Map - With Roads, Water And Terrain Enhancement Redux, Enhanced Night or Enhanced Blood Textures.

What would you do with a world map in DkS? You can remember the whole game in one playthrough. The scenery is memorable unlike Skyrim so you don't need a map. And I know that they'll be some genuine mods that'll enhance textures and what not but there will also be retarded mods that'll just ruin what DkS is all about. Its about sitting down and letting the game punish you for doing something it wasn't meant to do, when I play DkS, I buckle down and really take into consider my actions cuz I can't just run around like an idiot and expect the game to forgive me. How will I ever be able to take the game seriously if there is some "Naked Mod" or some idiotic mod like that?

Simple. You don't. People mod out of fun or for improvement (in their own view). There's no compulsion to enable them for your walkthrough. Game does not change. And devs don't implement any actual mods into the game. It'll stay the same way as it is.

Thats supposed to be the point man. You have countless other RPGs that'll hold your hand when you play but the Souls series isn't about that. Its about rising up from your defeat and ultimately becoming stronger than you were before. Watching the transformation from when you 1st play a Souls game and then when you master a Souls game is always amazing to see. Its a transformation from a mere man to an Elite Knight that can take the hardest of foes down with great Valor and Bravery.

Exactly why From Software needs to flip Namco the middle finger and move on to a better publisher. Sony admitted that they dropped the ball with Demon's Souls, From should go back to them and this time work together. Sony should allow From Software to work on the game themselves cuz even Sony admitted that there was some creative issues with the development team with Demon's Souls.

Your point is valid but you still have to admit that the game is lil harder which is the main down point.. and the only reason by which guys break the disk into pieces
