Actually no, I think the game was a bit easy. They gave players a one hit kill weapon at the beginning of the game which you can use for quite a while. Look, if you're looking for a hard game and if you actually try to become better at it then Dark Souls isn't all that hard. Challenging yes but not as hard as you say it is. Demon's Souls was much harder.

The Souls series is for the hardcore gamers who have had enuf of games holding their hands through missions and objectives, its for those people who want to test their skill when they are placed in a ruthless world that shows no mercy for the weak. Play it only if you think you're ready, I've seen a lot of guys who wanted to play Dark Souls and ended up hating it cuz they went into a game with a "Heard it was hard, I'll give it a shot" mindset. They got killed too many times and just gave up on the game but then they came back with a "This time, I'm gonna beat it" mindset, and they utterly enjoyed themselves. They resent themselves for hating the game the 1st time they played it, its all about what you're in the mood for.

You know playing games for a lengthy amount of time isn't enuf to be considered as a hardcore gamer. You gotta play difficult games and be a pro at them. Thats what a real hardcore gamer is.

If the rumors suggest anything now, it will be a straight port. Most likely locked to 30 fps + no improvements in term of assets for 1080p resolution.

Bad news. This will probably be the first game in the last decade or so to have its resolution locked as well. Maybe some users can get past that through tweaking.

You mean the game with a gazillion meaningless fetch quests, 6 enemy types throughout the game, no loot or equipment because u make the best items yourself, mind numbing and retarded combat mechanics.

I cant believe that it won GOTY at so many places. Dark Souls is a better RPG than Skyrim in every avenue.

Skyrim is catered to idiots who just want to run around doing random ass shit because they feel cool. It's so lame that i was one shotting dragons on the hardest difficulty level when i reached level 50 with my mage. So in theory the game is designed for bad players who don't plan their characters out and make leveling mistakes and yet still win at the game. Unfortunately if you're born with a superior IQ and plan your character progression out (As any self respecting RPG player should) Skyrim is going to bore you beyond words.

Prepare not to die

For Dark Souls fans hankering for a new challenge, the news that PC players will be given additional content of the notoriously difficult RPG is difficult to swallow.
Dark Souls: Prepare To Die Edition will arrive on PCs later in the year with a whole load of new content and From Software is adamant the additional material will not be arriving on consoles anytime soon.
In fact, it feels so bad about this Dark Souls’ game director, Hidetaka Miazaki, has come out and apologised to players of the original game…
Hidetaka Miazaki: It’s completely understandable that people who bought the original version would ask about the additional content, however, as the director of Dark Souls I cannot say right now about whether or not this content will ever be available as DLC. But, I want to emphasis my sincere apologise to those players that bought the console version that we don’t have any news for them at this point.

360: What exactly is the additional content?
Miazaki: The additional content will include approximately three-to-four new bosses and three-to-four new areas. The numbers are still undecided, but that’s the volume we are aiming for and we will also be including a new storyline. And also there will be more NPCs and more enemies. Players will also be able to wear NPC’s equipment.

360: Were these extras leftovers from the console game?
Miazaki: To be honest the idea of the new areas was designed after the game’s release. However, we did have some of them during development but no one on the team took them seriously. It was designed 99% after the game’s release. During the development of the original console version the idea’s we had were small and were thought to have a minimal impact on the overall experience, now we are able to amplify these ideas.
