Even the care taker government of this Province is Na Ehel :tv:

btw with the commissioning of Bin Qasim Power Plant II, KESC now has a Generation Capacity of 2000MW with Karachi having a demand of 2600MW
Basically we are almost free from dependency on WAPDA

If only Sindh Government invests in Wind Generation and a few more Thermal Plants the entire Province can be catered without WAPDA sadly that wont be happening

Thermal power stations require constant supply of fuel, and are too expensive e.g diesel electricity cost Rs26/kwh compared to Rs 2 for hydroelectric power, Rs 14 for combined wind + thermal.

They should invest wind, no provinces will have any objections (compared to hydroelectricity)

Not on Gasoil in majority but Furnace Oil and only KAPCO and Guddu use Low Sulphur (environment friendly) fuel in Pakistan primarily.

That "the" issue. Only if "they" understand

Can kESC setup it's own Wind farm ?

I doubt they have the resources
Also the likely wind tunnels are in Sindh which needs Government backing and funding

Bro, get your main electricity board checked by an electrician. Maybe its damaged, otherwise there may be a problem in the main wire so just call 118 ;) They do respond

Two students from Islamabad have bagged silver medal in the world finals of the International Computer Projects Competition held recently in Romania by giving solution to end loadshedding and resolve issue of energy theft.

Shahbaz Khattak and Abdul Muizz Lodhi of PakTurk School Islamabad have designed a GSM-based Automatic Meter Reader (AMR) which was presented in the Infomatrix Romania where their project won silver medal in the category of Hardware Control.

AMR can collect consumption data from power, gas and water meters without involvement of meter readers. It transmits data to central database of service providing company for billing, troubleshooting, and analysis.

Khattak and Lodhi said that metre reading will no more remain a time consuming and labour intensive manual process if gas, power and water utilities employ ARM which will also settle the issues of complaints by consumers and increasing energy theft presently estimated at Rs250 billion annually.

Also, some modification can enable power companies to switch off air conditioners and other home appliances drawing extreme amounts of energy remotely which will end the need of loadshedding in Pakistan where over 5000MW is consumed by A/Cs in summer, the students said.

there are like a thousand such methods available and suggested to the government for decades one of the recent being the "card" system meters from china... but our politicians are pathetic and don't want to do it...

Because of the stupid directives of SC for the so called 'equitable' loadshedding, it's increased to 10 hours here. We've never, ever had 10 hours scheduled loadshedding here.

I have a PS5 but I am not satisfied with the experience. I am currently saving for a 4080 64 GB rig soon. Bit will wait for Pro if performance improves. This gen has been so bad I don't plan on buying consoles anymore for AAA gaming.

  • L LegacyGamerGuy:
Consoles were my main platform ever since Atari 2500. But now I think it's not worth it as PC especially with DLSS deliver far smoother performance. AW2 on console didn't even had ray tracing and ran below 30fps. Similar issues plagues DD2 on consoled.

It is indeed the worst generation by far.

Both PS and Xbox have been a flop this gen as they can barely maintain 30 fps in a lot of AAA games th.

As per WCCF Tech review, Xbox Series X doesn't even maintain a consistent FPS and sometimes drops into the mid-20fps range. That's unacceptable, tbh.

Score 1 for game pass. I wouldn't pay full price for this at retail either.

PC Gamer score of 58/100 for Hellblade 2??? Is it really worse than Gollum that was 64/100? Microsoft games can't even come close to high scores of Sony exclusives apparently.
