Karachi.
For Bachelors in Engineering:

NUST, Karachi, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Risalpur (Isloo branch is probably the best engineering uni in Pakistan as far as my friends tell me).

NED, Karachi (Pros: supports amazingly large number of engineering subjects, has state of the art devices to help students learn, awesome teachers especially in 3rd and 4th years, super fast computers (i5) and very fast speed campus wide internet, very competitive environment. Cons: Architecture in old departments is poor, no air conditioning, not well made auditoriums for the Electrical, Civil and Mechanical departments [other departments have awesome auditoriums and 5 star buildings].)

GIKI, KPK (very tough to get into, but is awesome as per my 2 friends who are studying there).

UET, Taxila (have heard great things about this university).

Karachi University, Karachi (publishes huge number of research papers each year, provides engineering in almost every single subject).

Sir Syed University Of Engineering And Technology (have heard good things about this place, but there is so much politics here).

Islamabad
Nust for engineering/CS.

Has international acclaim ( Ranked in QS), has a very reasonable fee structure ( 75-80k per semester).
Big campus in Islamabad ( by Islamabas standards), on campus hostels, and ofcourse a qualified faculty with every other teacher a PHD.

Edit, Review is for "Bachelors" only, since I'm in BS-CS at Seecs Nust
@MegamanEXE care to add more?

For BS(Computer Sci.) Only Lhr

COMSATS lhr/isb/wah and abbottabad.. Reason : lhr campus is much bigger then all campuses and almost has every facility. Personally Graduated. :wiggle:

FAST lhr - most popular in CS. they started first CS in lhr 1985 and i have read their infrastructure history.. Fast Lhr [Private Sector talking] is the first campus which they intro CS in 1985, area Faisal town Lhr. Their semester is really much tough and highly tight for a student. Not every student can accommodate in their system.Their faculty is top and good.

LUMS - every one know why LUMS. Their faculty is top and good.

UET Lhr - most popular & most valuable uni in pak. sab se purani h.. every one know. its a public sector. good for CS also. Only once i have visited UET.

UCP lhr - private sector and also going good in CS. many graduates[UCP] students are working in different sector. they are also growing.

Information Technology University
[itu.edu.pk].. Located in Lhr .newly born uni for CS and EE.. both BS and MS/PhD. its Vice Chancellor is Dr Omar Saif and this uni having so many multi super-mined faculty like from all over the world. u may visit their web page and see details by ur self. [ Faculty Members ]

UOL Lhr - its private uni having 26k students in all over the pak. sooooo mannnyy damn students in all level like BS/MS/PhD/Diploma etc etc. average student may accommodate him/her self easily in this uni's semester sys.their CS is also growing rapidly.

more i will updating and searching .... :D

Islamabad
Mohammad Ali Jinnah University, Islamabad - Bachelors - CS
Pros:

  • Good faculty
  • Offers specialization in Software Engineering, ICT and CS depending on the electives the student picks.
  • Collaboration with industry + government (PTCL, NESCOM, ICT R&D Fund, NayaTel, ISOC etc) e.g CoReNeT
    • EE department more so in our case but EE and CS department work 'somewhat' together
      • NOTE: Our EE (electronics) department is better than CS
  • Facilities available to students (classes/labs etc) are better than any other universities I've been to i.e. NUST/FAST/Comsats-ISB/CASE/Foundation etc
  • University supports students for various competitions/events throughout the country e.g a couple of weeks back, we got a 50k grant to go to SOFTEC
  • Large campus (not comparable to NUST-SEECS though), students from all departments easily interact. Dedicated parking inside the University
  • If you're an ex-PGC (& or affiliate) student then getting a scholarship is a piece of cake. (PGC = Punjab Group of Colleges and its affiliate schools/colleges)
Cons:

  • Tuition fee is high, Rs. 5,800/credit-hour
  • Very strict discipline wise (I personally don't mind this at all)

1st of all nice thread [MENTION=39471]Blastwave[/MENTION].. it'll help alot of people.
i'll gonna tell u about karachi , bcz i haven't any experience in any other part of #Pakistan ,
In B.CS /M.CS
1st ) fast uni > if you can afford it, then its a best option.
>reason : Main reason is that if you are so low (sust) in your study, they'll give u that kind of environment which'll make you to end of it easily.
2nd ) K.u uni > getting admission here on test bases is damn hard ,
> reason : but its affordable as compared to fast uni. Environment is Good, top fields in K.U > worth the degree & thesis
3rd ) Sir Syed uni. : but i'll not recommend it, bcz they have a lot of politics

In Bachelor/Master in Engineering :
1st ) N.E.D : affordable, good environment , teachers are good. also they have alot of fields in engineering., as compared in k.u have limited fields in engineering but they have damn good depts & optional fields in medical field. which aren't in NED.
2nd ) K.u : mostly in chemical & petroleum engineering (huge amount of research, affordable, good teacher ) environment karachi wala :cowboy:

Pindi Boy.
For bachelors in computer science, I would recommend Comsats Islamabad as one of my cousin is studying from there.

Really good environment, a bit strict but that's for the decency.

Parhaai is too good.

For Bachelor in Engineering, NUST Islamabad all the way! A bit hard to get in but just a little bit. That's it. You'll love it once you get in there.

Bachelors/Masters in Engineering:
Getting enrolled in public university is every other guy dream that is pushed on students in early age by virtue of their parents wishes, relatives gestures and irrelevant people envies. E.g: NED for Karachi heights, UET for Lahore etc.
If you want Elite stigma attached with you, then go for GIK, NUST or PIEAS.
As far as faculty, teachers , Course outline and labs are concerned , I didnt observe the difference which can make student standout in the lot, rather it is the interest and aptitude of student itself. All A category universities have more PHD teachers, Labs and Courses than you can ever benefit from (in 4 years), anyway.

Bachelor/Masters in Computer Engineering/Science:
Same Elite universities theory apply for computer degree. Yet I would prefer FAST, that has set some good standards in past decade.

If anybody need any further/specific guidance, PM me, I will get back with all I know or can manage to know AEAP :)

Karachi, Pakistan
I can only tell about Karachi
For BS(CS)

1.FAST, Karachi
Good experienced faculty. Many of my friends are studying there and have heard a lot of good things from them about their CS program. Also it has great market value.
The only concern you can have with Fast is its high fees and its location which is way too far..

2. UBIT, Karachi
Their CS program is also one of the best in the city, quality faculty and the environment at UBIT is great, although it is a part of KU but their isn't that much politics involved there.

3. IBA, Karachi
Although their CS program is new but still we all are aware about IBA's atmosphere and teaching environment.

For B.E:

NED University, Karachi
Ned University has its own charm, the atmosphere is outstanding as there is pure merit. The teachers are also very helpful.

Sir Syed University (electronics):
Probably one of the best program which Ssuet is currently offering. Decent faculty, the only concern with SSUET is politics otherwise their electronics and Computer Engineering departments are quite decent.

You reap what you sow. This is what happens when you take away choice from consumers. Even with 88% split going to developers, they can't recoup costs. Meanwhile, Helldivers 2 is a massive hit for Sony thanks in big part to Steam.
