Unboxing of my Ichill GTX260 and Asus 500 watt psu

its got 3 12v rails with 16A, 18A and 18A respectively. which means 52amps in total.
this dosent work like that when you have more then one +12V rails.it depends on to which +12V rail his GPU is attached !!! either to 16A or 18A.If his gpu is attached to a 16A rail and after overclokcing gpu it will require more juice so it will NOT take from the seconf +12V which is 18A.the only possibilty was that if his power supply comes with only one +12V rail @ 52A or higher but only one +12V rail. if he force his psu to give more then 16A on 16A rail or 18A on 18A rail either his computer will turn OFF or power supply BOOooOOM !!!

LOL guys, this is not how it is measured.

@bahnstrasse007
Rail and cable are two different things.

@theDarkDisciple
Amps on +12v are not calculated by simply adding the maximum amps on all rails. Look at the maximum no. of watts that the +12v can have. For this PSU they are 360W (written under the +12v rails). You get the maximum number of amps by simply dividing this number with 12. So total amps for this PSU are 360/12 = 30

Czone have now listed about the stream processors being 192 and not 216.
yep Ubuntu earlier already pointed it out....

Congrats fajoo bhai the card looks awesome....... just waiting for my exams to finish and i will buy this card bdw how was your experience......... the temps looks awesome and aap ne overclock kia hai is card ko abhi tak ya nahin...... please post some benchies after overclocking it.......
Thnx man....my experience is very good and over 9600 gt it is a very good upgrade, i am getting more then double avg fps in demanding games like crysis and farcry 2....yar it is factory oclocked and i haven't tried to oclock it more coz imo, gpu oclocking is not as fruitful as cpu oclocking and besides that i m already getting more then enough performance from the gpu.....

with paying just extra 3000 Rps you could have bought XFX Geforce PCI Express Slot GTX 260 896MB (448 Bit) GDDRIII Black Edition which way to fast then yours inno
(WGAF)

Congrats on the purchase Fajoo. nice stuff. 54 celcius on load means they really put one good cooler on that thing. maybe Inno really has turned the leaf for good.
thanx dd

Congratulation on ur new GTX260
thnx

Congratz bro :wink2:

Hi Fajoo, looks like you and I got the same card. After finding out that its 192 sp instead of 216 sp I called galaxy computers to give a piece of my mind. Lucky for them there phone was busy. So I started reading the rest of this thread and it sort of calms me down. I strictly asked that dude at Galaxy whether it was 216 sp and he said yes it is. I am still a bit angry at them.

Now I really have to ask. Could you please help me overclock this card so it can perform like a 216 sp card(edit - Nevermind, read your post above. You are not OCing)? I am getting these temps at idle.

Here is my 3d mark 06 score.

O Ohhhhh, Man ur score is toooooooo low for this card, as earlier most of us were thinking that fajoo is geting low score coz of his processor, but now u got such a low score with Q6600 !!! I'm really amazed i think something is realy wrong. Hmm I think it would be a wise idea to chek 3dmark06 thread and there many users posted their score with GTX260.

n overclocked 9800gt gives 15k almost on a q600 @ 3.7ghz ...
so i think either u have old pci-e slot or u r having some issues with ur winxp edition!

---------- Post added at 07:40 PM ---------- Previous post was at 07:39 PM ----------

or i guess u were running 3dmark06 on win vista???????????
cause some one else was also doing same thing (remember alienware :) )

Still waiting for someone to say something helpful, like I don't know, how to improve my scores. I see almost everyone is OCing their processors these days. Which increases their 3D mark scores. But does it really have a huge impact in gaming performance? If yes, could you please tell me which Motherboard+Cooler would be best for me to achieve something like 3.2 Ghz on my Q6600. How about Asus P5QL-AM with intel G41 chipset + V8 CM cooler? I can spend round about 13000 Rs assuming Galaxy Computers buys my current board at 3000 Rs. I don't want to crap Fajoo's thread so I am going to copy this post it in WHAT TO BUY? thread as well. You can answer over here if Fajoo doesn't mind or over there.

Well dont know, wats the problem with you.

But since u have Q6600, so cpu isnt the problem, my overclocked dual core cpu just gives my slightly higer score than your in 3dmark06, But ur Graphics score is really ver low.

Exactly, Everyone running OC Processors are getting High scores. I am yet to see a single person running q6600 at stock speed and getting something like 15000 3D marks.

ninja bro i dont think that with a stock q6600 you can touch 15k on 3dmarks no matter what card you pair it up with. 3dmark scores are quite heavily dependant on your cpu clock speeds and ofcourse if you have nvidia thats plus point.

@fajoo
well this thing really rang the bell for czone as now they remember to mention that this is a 192 sp version not a 216 stream processor chip
your howl of rage penetrated outside the walls of the web 2.0....
