Unboxing EVGA GTX 260

Dear All

below is brief introduction of my today's purchase,

My goal is not to show performance of this card, as many members have this card and they submitted its benchmarks,

i want to guide people who might be interesting in getting this card, as it was out of stock for a few weeks,

EVGA Part number written on the box and VGA is 896-P3-1255-AR, which corresponds to 576/1998 clocks and 111.9 GB/s memory Bandwidth,

However, after installing the card, i have discovered that its clocks are 626/2106 with 117.9 GB/s B.W., which corresponds to Superclocked model of this card, whose part number is 896-P3-1257-AR.

this is very interesting thing and i attached pictures of EVGA web pages of these cards,

i don't know whether it would be true for all EVGA GTX 260 available on galaxy or not, galaxy has not put web link of this card,

XFX GTX 260 is 1300/- more than EVGA, and its clocks are 680/2000,

Congrats on your purchase. Overclock it more you can break 13k in Vantage easily. I think I got about 12.8k with my E8400.

But the resolution of the gaming benchmarks is disappointing. I hope you can re-run them on a higher resolution which will do the card some justice.

U didn't tell me when we had chat on phone. Usman bhai now u may gift ur 9800gt to me :) :) :). Just kidding

my primary target was not benchmarking as i mentioned, however, i will try to post with overclocking,

yes, i had used 4870, however with new games and especially due to physx, it is time to switch to nvidia, although i am ATI fan

yes, it was, however that card cannot be overclocked except a few MHz above your mentioned clocks, while EVGA card can reach easily to these clocks

at that time i didn't decide to purchase GTX 260

A big congratzzzz Usman Bhai! Yeh achanak kya program ban gya :D Awesome card u bought there. Did u felt any difference between XFX GTX260 and EVGA GTX260 ?? I mean quality wise?

thanks Zeshan bhai, it is long time i sold xfx gtx260,

however i feel that temperatures of EVGA version are lower and it is better overclocker,

For memory clock, xfx version did not reach 2400 mhz stable, but this one has reached 2500 mhz and 700 mhz core and i have checked 3dmark2006, however benchmark result is almost same, due to 3.6 ghz processor speed,

    That's still higher than it's total play length. A 5 hour campaign for a $50 game is downright scammy.

    I have a PS5 but I am not satisfied with the experience. I am currently saving for a 4080 64 GB rig soon. Bit will wait for Pro if performance improves. This gen has been so bad I don't plan on buying consoles anymore for AAA gaming.

    As per WCCF Tech review, Xbox Series X doesn't even maintain a consistent FPS and sometimes drops into the mid-20fps range. That's unacceptable, tbh.

    Score 1 for game pass. I wouldn't pay full price for this at retail either.

    Just downloaded my first legit digital PC game on GoG at a discount of $8: Two Point Hospital. The same team behind Theme Hospital Two Point Studios now part of Sega. And I am having more fun than most recent AAA games except of course BG3.
