Hey guys i need some good advice on laptops since i withdrew buying a dell cause of some bad reviews and stories i heard.

Im look at the toshiba satellite L655-15M its about 60K this one:
http://gulf.computers.toshiba-europ...Satellite-L655-15M/1090440/toshibaShop/false/

Does toshiba have a service center in Pakistan?

or the HP probook 4520s its 51,500 with i3 3gb ram and a 512mb graphic card but i hate the mousepad on it.

Or any other if you guys know better? Im also running out of time as well so i need to decide quickly i want a laptop thats going to last thanks!

My experience with HP is good. Currently using a netbook which does not overheat as compared to other netbooks.

But my mamu has a Toshiba laptop, which is awesome aswell. Also, I've heard that HP's motherboards in Laptops used to overheat alot (1 year old rumor). But do not overheat in my netbook.

:)

Thats is an excellent find Syavash. Really eye opening article. Engadget got the article from SquareTrade, a company that sells extended warranties by the way. I was going to advise HP to the OP (currently there are 3 HP laptops in my house and HP is the cheapest laptop in Karachi) but now I have changed my mind

wow thats a really informative chart O_O

well the thing is im leaning towards the toshiba but the only thing holding me back is if there are any toshiba service centers in Pakistan. I mean i get a warranty with it but why does it matter if i cant claim it anywhere? The same applies to Asus i guess.

The card in the toshiba is great but I wanted it mainly for work but i hear complaints on toshiba's quality as well. Too many brands nowadays lol

Thanks optimus, zasha and dark :p Found it sometime ago, its very useful.

You hear complaints about every manufacturer, the thing is, how many complaints you get, the chart shows you the big picture, no manufacturer is perfect, you can easily get screwed but Toshiba and Asus are definitely better on the whole. Not sure about Toshiba's service center in Pk. You'll have to visit them and ask. Though its gonna be good I think.

if one will ask me .... my recommendation will be Toshiba on top of all other bull crap lappys that are available in the market. Only Toshiba or if money isn't the big issue Sony is the BEST option.

what i've noticed in the market is that most people try to sell stuff they cant seem to get rid off so they feed you stuff about it blah blah blah. I heard too many negative stories about the dell inspiron so i jumped ship on that.

Im all for the toshiba laptop but the only problem is if i can claim the warranty here or not......if i can its 100% set cause i can upgrade the windows and ram eventually cause the graphic card is really nice:
http://www.notebookcheck.net/ATI-Mobility-Radeon-HD-5650.23697.0.html

The hp laptop has 1 gb less ram and a 512 mb card so its kinda just there...im looking for durability which hp lacks from that chart, and i want it to be long lasting so maybe i should go for a i5 /sigh there are too many brands and vaios are great but not their price...

Alan wake 2 is yet to recover it's development costs. Due to no physical release and no steam launch.
You reap what you sow. This is what happens when you take away choice from consumers. Even with 88% split going to developers, they can't recoup costs. Meanwhile, Helldivers 2 is a massive hit for Sony thanks in big part to Steam.
