To the people who have started playing, how is the shooting like? Is it auto locking like previous TR games or have they followed Uncharted?

its not auto locking, shooting is very standard like every other shooter these days, there's no stick to cover button, but lara automatically ducks behind waist high cover items if you're not aiming.

you can change shooting arms by pressing the LS while aiming, so you can shoot from left of right of any cover.

The Eurogamer review is well worth the read. It is pretty damn funny :lol:

Now, look to the sarcophagus with the thinnest layer of dust and push back the lid. Rummage through crumbling bones and you will find a pair of pistols, 47 first aid kits and a bra big enough to hold hamster balls. Here lies Lara Croft, deader than the first bat she ever shot in the face.

The first hour of play is pretty depressing. It's also embarrassing, unless you have thick walls or neighbours who will regard the noise as adding ambience to the violent pornographic film they're making. When Lara's not screaming, shrieking, panting or squealing, she's busy getting chased, groped and tied up. When she dies, it's with the kind of orgasmic groan that would make Ben Dover demand another take that's less over-the-top.

It's a shame the other characters don't get much screen time, and are therefore unable to move beyond archetypes like Feisty Black Chick, Nerdy White Dude, Hot Asian Babe and Dirty Foreign Rapist of Unspecified Baltic Origin.

Throughout the game, you'll be tasked with solving elaborate puzzles and taking on sporadic groups of enemies in addition to plenty of platforming and exploration. After you finish Tomb Raider's long-winded tutorial, it easily rivals the best Uncharted has to offer--and that's not a claim made lightly. Where Uncharted props itself up on Nathan Drake's charm, platforming prowess, and ability to shoot dudes in the head without getting bummed out, Tomb Raider's foundation comprises excellent pacing and an ominous story of survival.

OK PLayed for about 1 hour or less.If the rape scenethat caused so much controversy was supposed to be the one I think it is then you guys will be dissapointed.ANyways, I honestly am not getting into this game, the scripted events just aren't thrilling at all and most of the time they're pretty predictable, killing the enemies is so easy It's pretty luaghable.Still pretty early in the game so it could get better but for now I don't think this game deserves the reviews its getting but ofcourse this could very well change once I play some more this just as impression after playing for barely 1 hour.

Rape scene was disappointing, hence the entire game is disappointing?
