With all the delays happening in your area, it's quite possible other people may have given the linemen / installation guys some 'chai pani' or a nice crisp blue note straight out of an ATM to 'speed things up'.



Hopefully in your case they feel threatened by that and you might get yours done today.

After some discussion with @AzizUrRehman it turns out, MSAGs aren't designed for FTTH. They can be retrofitted with the equipment that allows the use of FTTH, but that's only done in rare cases.

The proper way of deploying FTTH in an area would be through the use of FDH cabinets, like what's happening in Wah right now.

And 300 meters is no problem at all. I'm further than that from my MSAG and my FTTH line works fine.... usually.

So there is hope for me atleast I will keep my fingers crossed.

Works 99% of the time. Make sure to mention names of anyone you dealt with so that they know how to proceed with the inquiry. Speeds up the process a lot.

The complaint on Citizens portal was never actually closed in my case.

PTA emailed me to say the complaint was resolved, but the portal app just says 'Complaint forwarded to PTCL'.

Why don't you all gather at once and go to your exchange and give them some real big bamboo? They will start the connections the same day. Unfortunately, this is the only way to get things done in Pakistan.

I have been given time till 1-2 weeks after eid, so I will wait one more time now. Otherwise, gotta do something similar xD

I wasn't contacted at all today and no one showed up. But, my friend [MENTION=138082]saifi181[/MENTION] who lives in the same street and got the connection at the same time as me got a call today telling him that they'll visit him and set it all up before Iftari.
I haven't confirmed if his connection is up or not but I think it might be. Regardless, the guy convincingly asked me to stay home at monday morning (which I was) and he did not show up.
If he shows up tomorrow morning, I won't be here to greet him with a chappal as I have some stuff to take care of tomorrow morning. He told me that around 300 connections have been "installed" in officers colony and they all await configuration.
So, given that people will be visiting houses manually and configuring the ONT's... I guess it might take a week for everyone's connection to be up and running. I think most of the connections will be up and running before Eid in the Colony.

I controlled myself earlier warna dil tha k sab ukhaar k phaink doon. But then I look at my phone line and the state it is in..

I'll go again tomorrow to speak with whoever is in charge of this whole shebang.
