There is no info for vdsl now at ptcl.com.pk.
Am using 8mb economy pkg will i be upgraded to new pkg unlimited one or not.

here are my modem stats exchange guys tell me u r line wont support above 4mb as u also have iptv.
Btw my connection is stable.

Umm... your line profile is actually 13mbps , it can handle around 12-16mbps.

Upgrading to 12-16mbps shouldn't be an issue by looking at these stats.

According to your stats, at your current SNR, your line supports a max profile of 20.5Mbps (21000kbps). But after accounting for the drop in SNR with an increase in speed, that 21000 decrease.

So the safer bet is 16Mbps.
Or if you're willing to experiment, you could try 20 for a month and then revert down to 16 if it doesn't work out.

My speeds have slowed down to 1 Mbps on a 4 Mbps connection probably due to rain. Why can't they upgrade their infrastructure or something? Always the same annoying thing.

contacted helpline they said everything is fine at our end.. username is also correct

my friend in ptcl set my profile to 13mbs cz of 8mb + iptv.
With this this profile i can easily watch iptv on 2 tvs with no jittering while downloading on dsl.
I can go for 16mbs then i have to set my profile to 20mbps which i doubt my connection can handle.
If vdsl becomes available then i ll go for 16mbs.

It's very much possible, but bear in mind that high line profiles decrease the stability of your connection.

If you're getting promised speeds and there's no delay on the TV then there's no need to get your profile increased.

About your upstream profile, PTCL provides Asymmetric DSL (ADSL) services. The ADSL is based on the assumption that the average users downloads much more than he uploads and so the ADSL standard has capped the upload speed to 1Mbps.

You're getting 637Kbps cause the actual 1024 signal deteriorates along the line. I have a 2Mbps connection and my upstream line rate is 512Kbps.

officially they wont dont it get some acquiantence in ptcl.
And yes u r upload is low it should be 1024 minimum.

And post ur line stats. Higher syncs doesnt guarentee higher dsl speed keep that in mind.
