1. Bro, here in Pakistan there is no such thing as WARRANTY especially on electronic items. So, there is no warranty on PS3.

I've been doing a load of searching on this but haven't found any help so far. I have a 60GB PAL model ps3 (CECHC03), running OFW 3.66(the latest). It works great, plays Blu rays, and DVD movies.

But its failed to play any PS2 game I put in. According to the Internet, It should play PS2 games without any problem. Others say I need a software called "PS2 system data" which is no longer available on the PS store.

Whenever I put a PS2 game in the ps3, a "data disc" shows up in the Music, video and photo columns, which I can browse, but they generally do not have any content. Nothing shows up in the game column. I've tried a lot of stuff, even burned the files to iso format in another DVD-R but that didn't change a thing
What's your advice?

You're trying to play pirated PS2 games.. not Original PS2 games. You can only play Original PS2 games. To play Pirated PS2 games, you'll have to hack your PS3 but i dont think you can do that on 3.66 FW

Killzone 3 is exclusive so go for it

Depends on your UPS and its rating.

Hmm, thanks. I dont know abt UPS rating but it keeps 3-fans and a couple of light for an hour easily. It has 140 battery. Should be fine I guess.

i think you mean 14.0 battery, but judging from your ups i would not advise you to run your ps3, ofcourse the issue is that i do not think it would sustain both the lcd and the ps3

The firmware update hardly takes a few minutes, so it's unlikely that you'll get a power failure just when your PS3 is in the middle of the process. I'd say the best time for you to update would be fifteen or so minutes after the power comes back on.

The new firmware hasn't been jailbroken yet, so you might want to stick to 3.55 if you plan to jailbreak your PS3 in the near future. Otherwise, you'll be stuck until a new jailbreak comes around.

Black ops hardfreezes

Yepp, title says it all. I keep getting hardfreezes after every match in mp mode. I have even deleted the gamesave data and tried but still nothing. During matches there is no briefing voice yelling domintaion, enemy is taking B, napalm strike or what ever. basically its only gun noises and ppl running around during games and it ends with a hardfreeze when going back to pre-game lobby.

you could try but I dont think it will run the ps3 and the lcd for long, but as far as speaking generally whether you should use ur ps3 and lcd with a ups then that would be a yes, because I have been using my PS3 and my 42" LCD with the ups for quite some time, and my ups can make it run for more than 2 hours.
