This statement is hilarious on way too many levels.
If they don't have the re-examinations, we will cry that standard is fked up because they didn't take notice of the event, carried on with it bla bla
Now that they have, we're crying that the standard is fked up because they're going for re-examination of a fault on their part.
CIE isn't run by 5-10 people. Being one of the worlds largest international examinations board, leaks in the system cannot be totally finished, ever. Not today, not in the next 6 months. They brought in variants to reduce the post exam time leakages, but they can do only so much. What they can, however, do is that they can conclude a re-examination, which is only fair for those who would've suffered the percentile hit courtesy those d-heads who used the leaked papers to score very high marks.
This is actually a blessing in desguise for you guys, mano ya na mano. Your prep can't possibly worsen over such a short span. If I had to give my exams again in two weeks, I know I could. In addition to that, you now know what's not coming!
