Remember how much hyped up the HTC One was? lol HTC's graph has been going down for the past two years now. They'll do ANYTHING (and say anything) to get people excited about their phone. Wait till its announced and reviewed.

Fingerprint and waterproofing are technologies which can easily be implemented. Just buy the sensor and implement it. Just tick the requirements for IP67 certification. Easy as pie.

Good design however cannot be copied. You either have it or you don't. Companies like HTC and Apple have always had it, always will. Samsung doesn't. And it shows not only in their physical design, but software as well. It's just not their culture.

I remember a thing called Wave from Samsung running Bada. I used Wave 1 and Wave 2 once and both of them were pretty decent handsets.

That phone was pretty exquisite. Bada was so smooth and it had a combination with that awesome design. I think it was the first phone to sport a amoled display too. Samsung never made good looking phones after wave 2 sadly. Its surprising to see that a company who makes televisions that are do pretty can't make a decent looking phone.

Just see Samsung's LCD / LED TVs. These are running neck n neck with sony and undoubtedly both represent the very best of tvs at this point of time. Why they ignore comments regarding overall shape and presentation of their phones.

HTC is a big time flop because of two reasons. Advertising and batteries that don't last. If these two things are tweaked they d be awesome.

The thing is guys that samsung has the most resources in the mobile world as it is incharge of all its destinies(it can make everything for its mobile devision). But do not expect anything "better" from them or too far ahead from the rest. The reason is that samsung mobile does not run the whole samsung and in reality they do not have more resources than say htc or lg or sony. All the chip makers and the rest are separate companies with in the group. That is sad really as they have the most potential to give us something unique but they always end up disappointing. The simply truth is the are no better than anyone else and should not be expected to be to. But the ugly designs are not an excuse as i have some brilliant desing ideas which can revolutionize the mobile industry and if someone as shit headed as me can think of it(with zero artistic sense) then anyone else can too and especially a big company like samsung. I also do not like their plastic design but atleast they it is light due to that. I will only buy a note series from samsung ever and i hope they introduce metal into that aswell

My speculation wasn't related to "Galaxy S5's Premium Model" but just "A Premium Samsung Device". The former was the actual rumor wandering around. That said, this started to become even more heated after S5's release with different people speculating different things. Some did suspected the new device (if any) to be on Tizen OS.

Anyway, lets see what happens. I am not really "hoping" for any change or better devices, as even the next Galaxy Note is like 6 months away ... but if i am honest, i am a little curious to see what would happen next.
