saw "paranormal activity ghost dimension" tonight at fortress square cinepax

Ok so this is the final part (fifth) in the paranormal series.

it's basically the 1st 2nd and third combined etc here. the fourth one was kinda weird so not much from that into here so anyways, the movie was OKayish but one thing which was MIND BLOWN was the 3D, never have i seen this amazing 3d in any 3d movie that arrived before... at first i was LIKE wtf where is the 3D in it, i was watching the first 10 minutes without the 3d glasses and as soon as the new camera found was put into effect DAMN that 3D popped up so nice :D (y) best i tell ya.

the movie itself was OKayish with those boom kinda thrills and scare, story was just picked up from where the 3rd one i think left off.

for the movie itself 4 and 2 extra for the 3D :D

Rating: 6/10

Lol it was a great movie , but just based on jokes
rest due to the castings I didnt enjoy the scenes so well , as bodylanguge wasnt much suitable , and I felt meh , joke were too great in the startings but the emotional side made it not good , as I dont really like these much tears n stuff in comedy , and the songs and dance made the movie too , I think if they would cast better and plan better then jokes would be perfect , I really was looking this kinda sex comedy movie , found one but I didnt like amy doing the main role in it :/ everything is ruined :( if brie did the main role I'd score 8+

ANT-MAN (2015)

"Back it up ..."

Totally unexpected. Probably the first Marvel movie to have ALL the right ingredients. Story, stunts, acting, romance, cinematography, humor, CGI; each and everything was so perfect that it almost made me stand up from my seat for appreciation. Its amazing how it keeps the 'technical stuff' to a side, yet manages to deliver a believable explanation for the scientific sh*t it boasts. All the shrinking scenes brings you a new world, and honestly, its breathtaking. Something fresh i have seen in a really long time, and really REALLY loved it to death. 'Not a keychain', 'Railway battlefield', 'A run for life between the model buildings', there are so many prize worthy scenes, with 'Disintegration in the briefcase' being my absolute favorite.

Paul Rudd as The Ant-Man, never thought this guy could become a comic superhero and be so freaking Awesome. Ant-Man also turned out to be one of the funniest movies out of Marvel universe, after Guardians of Galaxy. I think the prime credit goes to those 3 Wombats, especially Michael Peña. That dude wins every single scene, and made me laugh my ass off. That's wassup!. Probably the first time i have loved Michael Douglas for his stellar and 'cool' performance. The guy talks like he's chewing words. After all these years, still a unique style.

Other than that, there are some pretty Big spoiler about Titanic, not that it matters after such a long time, presuming everyone on earth might've watched it. Reference to Avengers: Age of Ultron was nice, so was the fight with one. As always, the logic of 'one marvel universe' prevailed, and I couldn't be more happy about it. Ii must have some problems, right? Well, i don't give a f*ck, as long as it was f*cking aweome and gave me massive amount of entertainment. I liked Ant-Man much more than i had thought. 8/10.

What? Ant-Man wasn't played by Chris Pratt? All that time I thought he was the dude from Guardians of the Galaxy  Both he and Paul Rudd do look very much alike.

I liked the movie. It had a very 90's-early 2000's superhero vibe to it. Could've been a lot much better in terms of plot or antagonist but it turned out fine.

I just love talkies. Movies that are centered on a conversation. Add to that, I fucking love writers and readings books and all that shit. While I haven't read Infinite Jest I am intrigued now and will definitely try to fit in my list of to read books.
This movie was freakin' brilliant. Jesse Eisenberg and Jason Segel were amazing. The conversations, the expressions, the looks, bloody brilliant. I am in awe of this. Such a simple movie, executed with sheer confidence. The atmosphere, the setting, the story, everything clicked.
Do watch Before Sunset if you haven't already, it is also pretty much centered on conversations.

007: Spectre....................(7.5/10) watched in IMAX at Vox Cinema, Dubai. Much better than Skyfall at least but still not upto the mark of Casino Royale. I however like Daniel Craig as Bond. Overall a good movie to watch with spectacular action scenes!!

Self/less.......................(7/10) this was the first ever movie I've seen in a flight. Emirates removed my favorite podcast from their line up so decided to watch this instead. An OK movie to watch, nothing special here, move along guys!

THE MAN FROM UNCLE (2015)

"All turned on now?"

This movie is so bling. Classy, Stylish, with its Charm, Lush and Flatter ... So cool that it's almost touches the old-gen Bond-Level. Extremely fun, with its comedic touch, and absolutely beautiful cinematography. 'One Upon a Time ...', 'Boat action', 'noisy side windows'; the puns certainly had me rolling on the floor. "For a special agent, you aren't having a very special day.". Well written script (y). The 60's feel was so cool. The dresses, and arguments about them, the scenery, everything. Maximum eargasms for the absolutely f*ckin' brilliant soundtrack.

Those two Cowboys certainly did a FINE job, and the women, of course. Elegant chemistry between the trio. That's how you do Character Development. Deeply impressed with Henry Cavill, especially know that he can play better roles other than Superman (well hey, no more constipated face so that's a plus). "Specialist in Complicated Acquisitions", please acquire Bond role, after Craig. Heck, THIS IS how a Bond should be today, with a focus on the ESPIONAGE, not action, with pure lush to win everyone's heart.

What i don't understand, is the final act. Why the f*ck would Guy Ritchie go dark there. Yea, i was having such a BLAST all the way, when this bullsh*t happened. ALL the enjoyment dulled down, because someone decided to go 'serious' all of a sudden. It wasn't about saving the world, leave that to Mission Impossible. It was about Class acts, and spies being spies. Still, could've ended worse. Happy endings, that's what made me happy. 8/10 Unique atmosphere, +1.

Everest
"Human beings simply aren't built to function at the cruising altitudes of a seven-forty-seven."

Everest is a film based on the true story of a tragic disaster that befell an adventure club on their expedition to summit Mount Everest in 1996.

The cinematography is great in the movie. Some pretty breathtaking shots of Mount Everest and other areas of Nepal. Along with this, the soundtrack was just as good, making it a real treat to watch at times.

The movie has a big cast comprising great actors like Jake Gyllenhaal, Josh Brolin, Jason Clarke, Keira Knightly etc and all of them did a good job. Jason Clarke especially was great and made me care for him. It didn't sugar coat the events nor it added tons of extra stuff for entertainment to appeal to the wider audience. It took it self seriously and honestly, by the time it was over, I was pretty sad, even though it actually did a not-so-good job at developing the characters.

And coming to that, it was my main problem with the movie along with that the pacing was uneven and the script was weak, giving the great ensemble hardly anything to work with. It rushes in the earlier scenes where it should have taken A LOT more time to develop the characters because with so many of them in the movie, we hardly get to know them or care for them and hence makes the subsequent events less impactful. The journey to the summit could have also benefited from more development and the release could have been so immense.

Regardless of its short comings, it was a solid film. Just feels like a bummer that it could have been much better if they did a little more in it. Oh and keep a blanket or heater nearby cause you can get really chilly while watching this movie.

American Ultra

IT is about a stoner in a small town who happens to be secret agent with memory erased and people are after him. Nothing new. Jesse Eisenberg was pretty good as the lead. His fast paced talking style really worked here. Kristen Stewart plays as his girlfriend, who was OK.

This movie felt like a complete missed opportunity the whole time I was watching it. It tries to be many things at once and ends up failing in all of them. There was no coherency in it. The tones were really conflicting. Sometimes it took itself seriously, whether its the romantic side or the government one, while sometimes it was funny.

The bloody, ridiculous action was mostly JUST OK, which was really disappointing because I was expecting that to be at least good. Apart from the last sequence, which was good, nothing really stood out. And there wasn't too much action in the movie either. It just spent too much time on the lovey dovey stuff. The cinematography was also kinda meh.

This is the type of film which could have been great if someone like Edgar Wright was handling it. Good for time pass, nothing more.

The Man From U.N.C.L.E

Guy Ritchie directed this film so you know if nothing else, the movie will atleast have style.

It is a spy film that is set in the cold war era. The story is something that you have seen done so many times i.e two guys who don't like each other forced to work together for the greater good. What's interesting about the movie is that it pays a huge homage to spy movies of 70s/80s. It is classy, stylish and doesn't take itself seriously (mostly).

Henry Cavill and Armie Hammer lead the film with being spies on the opposite end of the spectrum. Cavill plays a classy american spy, like an american James Bond. And Hammer plays the russian spy who has the typical traits i.e big tough guy. Both are joined by the lovely Alicia Vikander and they formed a rather fun trio.

I loved how Cavill and Hammer played off each other. Their chemistry was great and their banters etc were really fun to watch. All of it was enhanced by the beautiful cinematography, stylish direction and riveting soundtrack.

My problem with the movie was that it didn't focus enough on the two leads and their development. I would have loved more earlier screen time for the two. Also, the tone shifted to seriousness in the last act, which felt very out of place compared to the rest of the film and the whole last act felt sub par. And to add a bit of twist and interest in the story, the movie used flashback technique and while it would have been great if it was confined to that first time but the movie kept on using it over and over and over again to the point where I was like CMON.

All in all, it is an entertaining movie but the last act really brings it down.

You reap what you sow. This is what happens when you take away choice from consumers. Even with 88% split going to developers, they can't recoup costs. Meanwhile, Helldivers 2 is a massive hit for Sony thanks in big part to Steam.
