iphone 6 and 6+ called the best lcd display out there by displaymate(note4 the best overall)... also iphon6+ body reported to be fragile enough to bend in pocket... maybe apple should have stuck with smaller displays.. larger body with very thing aluminium can be a bad idea...

So after my iPhone 5 fell in the toilet (for those PG members who remember that lol) I got an android (S4)

It took me a while to get adjusted to the large S4 screen, but I could not wait to get back on iOS for thousands of reasons.

I can happily say that I am back today to iOS with iPhone 6 4.7 inches. It is a great phone, like any other iPhone. It is nothing revolutionary, its faster, slimmer, bigger, and better than previous iPhones but nothing "OMG AMAZZZZZZZZZZING"

But there is something worth noting and what I found to be the best feature of the iPhone 6. It's design. Sure it looks good, but what I am talking about is usability. See one of the reasons I never liked the S3 and S4 were the big screens. They were not designed right. My hand would always touch those buttons on the bottom and it would just annoy the hell outta me. The iPhone has really implemented the design alot better than any other 4+ inch phone I have used. It does not feel big, and that is very very good thing for me. I don't think anybody coming from a previous iPhone will have any problem adjusting to the bigger 4.7 inch screen.

You are right about the part that those Samsung buttons on the bottom are a nuisance but that's just Samsung phones. There are other big phones as well something like a Nexus 5 has no such ergonomic issue. So Apple isn't the 'first one' by any means.

Now that I notice it, I agree its a common problem with Samsung.

Aside from the M8 and G3 I have not extensively used other phones besides Samsung/Apple. Out of all the phones that I have personally used I liked apple's ergonomics the best. But I never claimed that Apple was the first one lol. Just saying it did a great job of implementing the bigger screen especially since majority of the buyers will be iPhone users, they did a good job of making it seem not so big for those coming from a 4" screen. And I will say that they did a better job than Samsung in ergonomics IMO.

Solution to the bending issue is simple. It's only meant to be used with the all new iShalwar Kameez :p

Apple pulls iOS 8 update

Salam , Apple's newest iPhones ran into some glitches on Wednesday after users complained that a new software update blocked their calls, and a video circulated to suggest that the larger of the two new models is vulnerable to bending.

Apple said it would stop providing the software update, which it began distributing on Wednesday morning to fix several issues in last week's iOS 8 operating system for iPhones and iPads.

How IPhone 6'S Camera Compares To Galaxy S5,

When Apple unveiled its iPhone 6 earlier this month, it talked about the upcoming camera features we can expect to see in its newest smartphone.Although the iPhone 6 comes with an 8MP camera just like the iPhone 5S, its sensor is still capable of capturing sharp, clear images.

When you look at the numbers on paper, it sounds like the iPhone's camera is slightly behind. As Samsung's Galaxy S5 features a 16MP camera, while Motorola's second-gen Moto X comes with a 13MP camera.

iOS update blocked calls on your iPhone? Here's a fix

Download iOS 8

First you need to download the iOS 8 firmware. Go to either iDownloadBlog or IPSWDownloader and download the firmware by selecting your iPhone model.
2.
Turn off 'Find My iPhone'

Then Go to Settings menu in your iPhone and turn off ‘Find My iPhone’ under the iCloud tab.
3.
Update iTunes

On your Mac or PC, open iTunes and check that it is the latest version of the software. To do that, you need to hit 'Check for Updates' under 'About'.
4.
Connect your iPhone

Connect your iPhone to the computer using the Lightning cable.
5.
Select iOS 8 firmware

After your computer recognizes your iPhone, press the Shift key if you are Windows and Option button if you are a Mac user and then click on 'Check for Update'. Select the iOS 8 firmware you downloaded in the first step.
6.
iOS 8 gets installed

Now iTunes will replace iOS 8.0.1 with iOS 8.
7.
Turn on 'Find My iPhone'

Now that the software version has been downgraded, your iPhone should be able to make calls again. Remember to turn on 'Find My iPhone' in iCloud settings after the process is over.

Its not fair to compare 4.7" phone with 5 and 5.5". Compare the G3 with iPhone 6+ and I can assure you the iPhone would lose badly in ergonomics. Similarly compare Moto X with iPhone 6 and the result will be the same.

It's not fair to compare a phone with a circular physical button with a phone that has no buttons.

Great job apple, the 6+ bends like those cheap steel rulers we get in school, I bet even those have better build quality than the iPhone.
And +1 for making the best OS update ever. Screwed the 10 million morons who updated their phones.

Man, I wish Steve Jobs was here to see this.

^^i don't think apple was ever "durable" or that ergonomic(other than small size making it easier to use)... never even liked its shape even... it is all about the premium metal feel... that makes it feel durable but it never really was... since the s2 drop tests we all know that plastic=better for smartphones if you want a durable practical phone. Apple was all about the premium feel so it is not really fair to point out the problems of non durability... and a slightly thicker phone which is not slippery metal will feel better in the hand in terms of ergonomics... and who uses one hand in this day and age? someone who has his money grow on trees? accidental bumping of physical buttons is a hilarious thing to argue about...
