I would agree with Naxnas's suggestion. A lot of people forget where they post and end up not replying. lol

Absolutely not. It's a great idea. You should get notifications instead of e-mails when you subscribe to a thread.

yea it should be put into immediate effect, I sometimes forget i was having fun with some dude and when I don't reply he thinks he won the conversation or something.

You should be given an option to subscribe to a particular thread. If there are new replies in the thread you should get notifications on PG instead of e-mails. I don't see how that is a terrible idea.

One can subscribe to a thread where they post rarely or have engaged into a discussion with someone that isn't very active.

Totally agree. I end up ignoring people Sometimes because i forget to look at the thread

Btw Quoting IS "Replying to that particular post"
I mean theres also another way of quoting but one should get the notification only when the "Reply with quote" button is clicked and when the post is submitted

Sorry, I don't want to overload the server by adding such a feature..you can subscribe to a thread and when someone post in that thread you will get an email notification!
