It is not explicitly stated that Wesker took her, but, given the details all one has to do is add two into two. Sheery did disappear, and it is obvious that Wesker took her. Because he was interested in her, believing in the notion that Birkin did something to her. As he clearly says in his report, that he would never underestimate Birkin's genius.

In RE 1: You have a hand gun with Jill, but no hand gun for Chris; not until you get to the main hall.
In RE 3: You have a hand gun, spray pack or spray (Don't remember it explicitly), and the bullet maker with you. (Hard-mode)
In RE 0: Handguns.
CVX: Just a knife, then the hand gun as soon as you make it out of the graveyard.
I'm not going to count RE 4 and 5, since I bet the majority has played them.
Darkside chronicles, and Umbrella Chronicles have the handguns along with additional selectable guns, and more of them in each chapter depending upon the scenario. Light gun series are a different deal altogether, and I am not going to discuss them.
