I didn't spot a "j/k" or "lol" or any signs that might point to it being merely for the sake of fun or as a joke. Also, I know Ask's tone. He hardly jokes around (intentionally).
Neither do I see that in the wise-guy's posts, whos only waiting behind the bushes for opportunities. So simply a 'lol' or 'jk' can rid you of all the fanboyism? Didn't know that. Well you are the admin for a reason so I guess you can judge better. Some things are quite obvious so topics like these only encourages people to take sides. PC gamers may get a better version if it gets delayed for PC. But really M$ should concentrate on both sides. They need to make simultaneous releases on their both platforms because some fans gets real disappointed from all these delays and crappy ports sometimes.

Focusing on Alan Wake 360, remedy is. Why? Probably because they have a "closed" hardware in front of them and they probably believe they'll be able to wrap up the development much faster on the (already much delayed) game so that it's ready for release on a larger gaming userbase (at least from the sales POV).
It makes sense to delay the PC version.
1) Avoiding initial pirated distribution of the game.
2) The game is technically structured around the 360. They can't utilize PC's power to the degree where it outstrips 360's potential. Since there's no significant advantage of the PC version to Remedy around the game's current design, they'll ignore the PC version for now.
3) A game tailored to 360's hardware maxima. Sure making a decent port to PC will allow better resolution/AA/AF etc but the character models, texture work, shaders won't be drastically different. They've already been done/written once and I don't think they're gonna utitlize special PC only shaders.
Perhaps if they release a DX11 only OMG PC special release then the release might be more than worth it. But the core game at least 6 months earlier vs same game with better resolution 6 months down the road? I'll take the core game on the console thank you. Of course, those who don't have the choice should just buy it when it's available to them. It's not a Final Fantasy or Metal Gear to buy a gaming machine for instantly.
The real time for PC gamers will be when the console starts to show their age and Carmack shows us id tech 6 with Doom 4. Or when Valve comes with Half Life 3 on the next source engine, too technologically advanced for consoles to handle, like Doom3 and Half Life 2 were for the PS2. Almost funny how Valve is still doing so good with their previous gen engine
