[Important] PakGamers Restructure

Hey peeps,

I want to make it a habit that some of community decisions are taken outside of Team PG and with the community, thus I will let you all in a secret :
We are looking into forum restructuring and facelift.

We would, like always, value your suggestions and ideas in terms of restructuring.

Also suggestions regarding how the forum should look will be taken seriously aswell. *color palettes, designs you like, XYZ, all of that stuff
Include links and pics, dont just say "Oh I want futuristic metal and star wars inpired shoutbox"...

A large possibility is that we wont change too much as most of the people are comfortable with the looks, and I think PG forums do look nice..

Well for us (premium members), it would be great if we could give thread URL from our own store forum during submitting trade score rather than requiring a thread in the general Marketplace.

PG theme is best it shouldn't be changed. Maybe advertising PG somewhere over PG should be a goood thing grab some traffic from all over Pakistan and getting some of the sections active again.

I do have some ideas about the theme in mind, I think PG can use some material/flat make over, considering how that's the new design language that's really, really popular.

A Better Way to Sort Out Negative Scores , Beacuse Some people here dont understand Warranty Guideline they Mostly award Premium Sellers -Negative Scores after Months If There device or something they purchased has gone wrong , A Better And Systematic Trading Score system need's to be introduced, Beacuse I Provide 3Days Warranty With my devices and Mostly Nothing happens with them Alhumdullilah But when it does and the warranty has also ended , they still award me with the negative score ,not taking the 3day warranty guideline in to mind , that's a huge hassle , Have 6 -Scores which were given to me by these idiotic acts and I Have all the Chats still Saved If Some one can help me with my problem , i have the proof aswell ! @AbbY thanks for tagging me mate .

yar kuch forum key areas hain jahan bhot kam log jatey hey and kuch sticky threads he jo quaid-e-azam key zamaney sey sticky parey he but very less people come , remove those they are useless , only dragging up extra space .... and .... old threas at marketplace also exist ... they are very very old threads , why do they still exist , remove them also ... threads marketplace waley 1-2 year puraney kafi hey 3-4 year puraney waley still are there ... they need to be removed

Send me a structured PM with details of your negative TS's. I will personally investigate each TS on a case to case basis and see that justice is done.

About your suggestion, we are working on that and IA soon a new system will be implemented in which these things will be automated and more formally and professionally done without involvement of moderators and regular members. =)

Honestly, I love the home page. The animations (could have more animations), the colours, the background, they're all better than the forum.

If we could have the same "theme" and layout (padding/margins/font sizes etc) in the forum, it would give a way more cohesive look. Comments in the articles could correspond to a thread in the forum, can't remember where I saw this before.

Maybe a little restructuring/reordering of the sections based on which sections need more attention, and improve visual visibility as well.

Like the Tech Dept and Creativity could go before the Lifestyle section.

Farfetched: A reddit-like post ranking system would be great! And chain of replies inside each thread. Think of each Reddit post as a thread, and comments as the posts inside the threads. It would be great to be able to follow a conversation chain instead of having a flat list like present. Less chance of derailing the whole thread.

I had [MENTION=93260]GloriousChicken[/MENTION] and [MENTION=1311]Majawar[/MENTION] revamp the CCC stickies. Did that over a gradual time so as to make the transition smoother. The stickies are less there, now, and, we'll try to do the same for other sections soon. =)

About the old marketplace threads, they're threads that were here in the past. They're deep down in the forums. We can't remove them just because they're old! Unless I'm missing what your point is. Please tell me if I understood it incorrectly.

threads take up space (my assumption) , we remove unwanted stuff , we have more space :shifty:

and and make more advertisement area , encourage czone / shingpoint / bla bla to come and advertise .... :shifty:

But the old threads that are buried deep down, how will they take up space? Say you have 30 threads that were bumped on 17/11/16. Why would a thread that was from 2009 bother those 30 threads? I don't quite follow.
