I can feel this overtaking CS GO as the most streamed FPS multiplayer

Valve didn't change CS GO enough so it doesn't translate that well on the consoles. And Team Fortress 2 never received all the updates so it didnt penetrate in the console FPS ecosystem. Blizzard has essentially taken Team Fortress 2 formula and mixed it with MOBA elements to keep it fresh and interesting. Now they're setting standards on the console space too. Whatever genre Blizzard picks they turn it into gold.

anyone got any idea about the servers for overwatch? battle.net only shows 2 servers for overwatch (us and eu) and both are getting shit pings for me.

tho i find it hard to believe that they only have servers in 2 locations.

so if anyone knows the server IPs then pls tell me cause this game does look sick

that is how it has always been for Blizzard games. Two data centers, US and EU. I believe the EU servers are located in paris, at least they used to be once upon a time. What kind of pings are you getting? cuz my friends from karachi usually get around 150-160

Really want to get the game as well for PC but can't drop $60 without making sure the ping is excellent. It is an FPS after all and I will be playing on PC.

I recommend posting on the Blizzard Overwatch forums as well for IPs of various servers so you can ping and test.

yup around 140-160. but its a fps man. like 140 for cs would suck. how is this different?

lmao those those are just different timezones man. 4 pm pdt in los angeles is the same as 9 am aest in sydney.

CS GO was never meant to be for consoles ...and the thing going for cs is just the pure skill of it...there is nothing between you and the game.

CS GO is like a F1 racing.
TF2 and Overwatch are more of your sports car racing or Le mans type thing.

But if overwatch comes into the league of tf2 or csgo in terms of numbers (which I am assuming soon it already will and might bypass due to consoles sale aswell)
it will be quite exciting..

At least on the biggest community on PC i.e. Steam, CoD isn't that popular at all.

Overwatch is only gonna improve. Blizzard's first FPS and it hits the nail right on the head. This should seriously make Valve get off their lazy asses and do something about new games but i don't think they care much as they're making lots of $$ just selling games on Steam anyways.

If Valve cared we would have had a HL3 already. Instead they are busy milking their current games.

I might aswell purchase Overwatch even Dota is getting boring now after Tf2.

Started playing last night. Reaper's probably the most beginner-friendly character in the offense class. Every match I played had a Reaper get play of the game. I need to get better with Genji, though. He's far more interesting.

Reaper is so awesome (and cringy, his voice lines lol), everytime his ult. charges you're guaranteed 2-3 kills, you can easily sneak past people using his tele and unleash the ultimate. He can collect the death orbs giving him health and he has that wrath which is so handy for escaping any situation where otherwise he'd be killed.

I love playing as Reaper, he's so OP imo.

Haha yeah, Reaper's lines are cool. Especially like the way he goes "Die..die..die!" during his ultimate. Definitely agree about him being OP. He does plenty of damage with his dual wielded weapons, and, like you mentioned, has the safest means of landing his AoE ultimate.

What's the best way to play as Genji? It's somewhat hard to nail those shurikens accurately with a controller on consoles, especially in long-range where he seems to be more effective.
