[NEW FEATURES] New Forum Features Added - Solved Tags & Quick Links

SOLVED TAGS​

With increasing burden of threads, responsibility on Moderators have been on the rise. Under such circumstances, something had to be done to take some load off of their shoulders and pass it onto the users for them to have better control over their threads. The current feature may not be a significant addition but its certainly a valuable one. Not only that, it'll also help those using "Forum Search" feature, identify threads with a possible solution to their problem.

Take a look at the following picture. Its self explanatory. Tagging a Thread as "Solved" will also LOCK it, but you will be able to UNLOCK it should you suddenly find your issue back alive.

For now, its limited to the "Assistance Related" forums only. Here is a short list:

• Tech Department > PC Helpdesk + Software Den + Broadband Internet @ Pakistan + Cell Phones & Gadgets Section
• PC Gaming > Games Errors & Troubleshooting
• Xbox > Xbox Hardware & Software
• Playstation > Playstation Hardware & Software
• PG Hub > Suggestions & Feedback

I hope you put this feature to a good use and behave from mis-using it.

QUICK LINKS ON FORUM MAIN PAGE UPDATED

No longer do you need to go to your profile page inorder to find your valueable posts & precious threads you have made (if any ). Direct access have been added to "Quick Links" on the forum's main page. Refer to the picture below.

Well, I was gonna suggest to sticky this thread in sections where It is added. But It's not hard to figure out as the option appear in front when you open a thread.
I would be more afraid of people misusing it. Heck, even I thought of closing and unlocking a hot thread. :angel3:

This one was present before but it was under the thread tools menu, so a bit hard to find. No much members knew about it.
They made it more prominent now which is a good thing as everyone will be able to see it.

previously, I was finding those options to make my some threads as sold and I couldn't find one. Just saw this feature and used it for good.

Login box on the home screen is disabled..however that doesn't link to the error which you are talking about i-e session timeout. If you want to remained logged-in then select the "remember me" checkbox

the only feature i am missing right now after PG upgrade is QUICK LINKS > TODAY's POST why this one got removed ?
there was a difference in NEW POST and TODAYS POST becoz todays post does show the post which you even visited but posted today, whereas NEW POST only displays unread posts

so i think it should be added back
