the only feature i am missing right now after PG upgrade is QUICK LINKS > TODAY's POST why this one got removed ?
there was a difference in NEW POST and TODAYS POST becoz todays post does show the post which you even visited but posted today, whereas NEW POST only displays unread posts

so i think it should be added back

But i didn't notice any difference between the two :S

Yes there's a clear difference:

"New Posts" = New posts since your last visit
"Today's Posts" = Just post made within the last 24hrs.

However the end result is kind of same (not completely) but the "New Posts" option is better since it shows all the new posts made since your last visit..so obviously if you re-visiting lets say after 20 mins, it will show that..however for someone who is visiting after a month and only interested in the new posts made within last 24hrs then the "Today's Post" option will do the job..

No there is a Big Difference for someone like me who checks/visits the forum in Breaks so the issue arises
Like if i visit a forum and check New Posts it will show me Two Three Pages of Posts on "FIRST VISIT"
on next visit it will show me ONE Page of Posts Because it Considers "MARKED as READ" so it skips those Posts and only displays The posts Which Recieved replies from your "PREVIOUS VISIT"

where as "today's posts" displays All 24hrs of Posts no matter how many times i visit it i still can check those posts which i skipped on first visit

i consider it was a pretty useful feature and should be retained

So is there any possiblity we gonna get todays post option i am not getting used to new post thingi if i wanna see new posts i can always see bottom of page
But there is no alternate for todays post thing [MENTION=1]iNF3RN0[/MENTION] so ca it be done or we should not expect it to come back ?
