Some more infro from Eventhubs:

• The game is set for a spring 2011 release date on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

• Right now the development team is looking at having about 30 characters — or so — in the roster.

• Seth Killian said that fans can expect "a healthy dose of new blood" when it comes to fighter selection.

• It's a 3-on-3 tag team fighting game, players build their own squads and uses Assists as well. Very similar to MvC2.

• The title uses an advanced version of Capcom's MT Framework, which powered Resident Evil 5 and Lost Planet 2.

• MvC3 has aerial combos, hyper combos and other original gameplay systems.

• The game is officially titled Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds.

• The goal is to get 100 pieces of music in the game, that includes old favorites, new tracks and remixes. The 'Take You For A Ride' song won't be returning, at least, it's not planned right now.

• There are no plans for an arcade, PC or Wii version.

• The team behind this wants this game to have a strong storyline.

• Development started on MvC3 in the summer of 2008.

So, just when SSF4 starts getting old, Capcom will hit us with MVC3! Nice one.

So hard to impress you, Iron..... the trailer was pretty awesome. I know it wasn't game footage or anything (E3 perhaps?), but it looked pretty awesome nonetheless.

Come on, MVC2 is a pretty crap game. It's TOTALLY imbalanced, and it's a borderline masher. They'd have to really pick things up to make this game on par with SF4, gameplay wise. I like the fact that they're gonna concentrate on 30 odd characters instead of something like a hundred unbalanced ones.

But I'd rather have CVS3 any day of the week.

Looks hot. Development since 2008? Oh Snap. No spidey bothers me. Its like no Ryu in a capcom fighting game (not counting Darkstalkers). I reckon if they had him he would've been one of the first characters they'd announce. Looks like Activision is too stingy with their licenses.
Its been a while since we had a Spidey Movie, and Iron Man is fresh in our memories (IM2 is gonna help). Doesn't surprise me that they're making Iron Man the mascot for the Marvel side.

Its like having a DC cross over without Batman or Supah man !

Clearly you don't know what you're talking about. MvC2 is in no way a masher, and requires more execution skills at high level play than most fighters. If you're talking about the magic series, its a design decision.
SFIV is more of a masher than Mahvel. You can't mash shortcut reversal DPs in someone's blockstring in Mahvel.
The reason Sanford and Justin can do fancy shit in SFIV is because they're Marvel 2 players. Ever heard Yipes go 'He's a Mahvel playa! He's got to be' when someone does fancy shit in SFIV?

Yes it is unbalanced. But that's only going to affect you if you play super serious players in a tournament or online. If you're just messing around with friends then you can just have dream matches with whatever character you like.

Yea I saw those, some look equal as he suggested but some look to be just like SF4 I'll have my fingers crossed over this one.

So have Valle and Mike Watson. They're style is relatively safer and low key. You won't see them bust out a fancy combo or punish unless its a clutch situation.
I've been following Mahvel since MvC1. I think I know a tad more than your average Joe.

Its as if God himself created this game to fulfill the wish of every comic book fan on the planet. Seriously, you can have a Shinkuu Hadokens and Proton Cannons going head to head. What's not to like?

Marvel 2 isn't the reason I'm excited for this game. Marvel 1 is. That game is a comic book fan's wet dream. XM vs SF, CSH vs SF, and MvC1 were amazing.
But no, you guys want to argue just because you've played MvC2 and now you know everything about the MahvelVS games.
Its as unfair as someone picking up KOFXIII, and saying that KoF series is lame and shallow without playing KOF98, KOF2001, or KOF2002UM. Respect the history, son!

Are these people you've played personally or people you've seen in match videos. I'm not doubting you, its just that so many people on Eventhubs vent about these characters without even playing a single match online on MvC2 that its too hard to tell the legit complainers from the others.
