MULTI Kingdom Hearts III CONFIRMED!

The long wait for us KH fans is over brothers and sisters. As Dream Drop Distance confirms the coming of KH III itself. Here are the highlights from the article:

The flow of letters halts there, but what happens next? A few more characters cycle through, then three distinct musical notes are heard as the Dream Drop Distance logo appears to end the credits.


If you managed to snag all the letters during the interactive dive sequence, a new Glossary entry is added to Reports. The entry, simple titled "Secret Message", reads:
The past will be reawakened
as a new number
in never-before-seen detail
Prepare yourself for the awakening
of the next number



To me, the meaning of this message is as clear as day. "The past will be reawakened . . . in never-before-seen detail"... HD Collection.
An HD collection that will be used to...

"Prepare yourself for the awakening of the next number"


Kingdom Hearts III.

Square Enix has confirmed, through the credits of Dream Drop Distance, that Kingdom Hearts III will be the next installment in the series, AND will more than likely be preceded by an HD collection of the entire series. No more spin-offs. No more side stories. Kingdom Hearts III is real, and it's coming.

Now all we need...is Versus XIII.

P.s: Since KHIII is coming, we can bet the work on Versus is almost over. As Nomura himself said that there will be NO KH III before Versus. TGS for Versus it is then.

^^That doesn't necessarily mean that KH III is in development, isn't it common knowlegde that 3D is supposed to bridge the gap between KH II and III? If that's true then it's pretty obvious that KH III is next but it could be years from now.Nothing news wrothy here.

Just like how everybody who finished KH2 knew that ? and then finished KH2 final mix and knew that in a more extended fashion ? then ended Birth by Sleep and knew that ? and then ended DDD and knew that ?

point being, as someone said already in a different topic, I highly doubt we'll see a numbered KH on the current consoles (wii U not withstanding)

I haven't played DDD or BBS. And I haven't gotten myself to finish 358/2 days either. I stopped Kingdom Hearts because I knew that I would lose track of the story and not understand a single thing in KH3. I'll play them all when KHIII is officially confirmed. And perhaps the HD collection will contain these games (maybe not DDD though), which makes it all the more easier for me

Its different this time, you'll know when/if you play it. And yeah, KH on this gen is a big no no.

I would sacrifice my left nut for a HD collection of Kingdom Hearts and Final Fantasy. I was one of the guy who didn't play the portable Kingdom Hearts series including the PSP one.

Exactly. Not all of us have played the portables. Only the console versions. HD collection before KHIII would be Win-Win for everyone.

It's the theme song to the first Kingdom Hearts game, and it is repeatedly played in the portable games too, I think. Great Kingdom Hearts fans you are if you fail to recognize this. Completely shameful >_>
